The U.S. Senate has not been the same without Senators Byrd and Kennedy. Both were legends and the two longest serving members of the Senate until both of them passed away. May the both rest in piece.

I was hugely inspired by this man after seeing his speech against dog fighting on Jimmy Kimmel Live of all places. He wasn't afraid to fight for what he believed in and he admitted when he was wrong. It takes a real man to do that. I may not have agreed with some of Senator Byrds beliefs but I will always regard him as one of the most important members of the Senate. RIP Robert Byrd.

I think that this video is really, really sad ... and it is an example of how much Kennedy meant to those in the Senate with him. Have some compassion, some heart ... it's not a public display of weakness, it's a public display of affection for a fellow Senator and legendary statesman.

I think that this video is really, really sad ... and it is an example of how much Kennedy meant to those in the Senate with him. Have some compassion, some heart ... it's not a public display of weakness, it's a public display of affection for a fellow Senator and legendary statesman.

As a non-American, I must say that some Democrats like Barney Frank and the Illinois governor do seem to lack professionalism. Apparently Robert Byrd has been a senator since 1959, but the people of West Virginia need to embrace change if this guy won't embrace retirement willingly. This guy is third in line for President behind Biden and Pelosi.

Whatever happened to our government having strength? Ted Kennedy was not even dead, why was he crying? I'm all for having a heart, but damn it our government is supposed to be representative of the people. I for one would like to see resilience in congress. Is this the way we would like the world to see us? As a group of people who lose all hope and start blubbering at the first sign of difficulty? Our forefathers were this weak when they forged our country. Why do we allow weak character now?

This is a senile old man that should not be an acting US senator. What happened to the day when leaders conducted themselves with "control" in the public eye. And this liberal "God hater" has the nerve to reference "God"? As for Kennedy, I wish no harm or suffering on any human being, but he is a drunken, murdering scumbag. Ted Kennedy was expelled from Harvard twice, slaughtered a woman and got away with it, and enacted the most socialist policies the US has seen.
He is a cheater, a criminal, and a communist.
Worshipping him as a hero shows liberal bias in the media.
I hope he dies a slow painful death before joining Lee Harvey Oswald and Stalin in hell.
It's the least punishment for the death, destruction, and evil he has caused.
