@FanOfFab4 They were actually singing along with the records. Strange solution (even at the time): a sort of "half miming", play the records but keep the microphones open. BTW: Jimmy Nicol didn't seem to know the recorded drum parts at all, he was all over the place in all songs.

You can tell George is singing the song, but they are not playing the song, the fact that there is a cover drummer and doesn't know how to play the song, they played the song without vocals. It's obvious at 0:31 - 0:34

@martinyeomans8 No, i think what they did is got the Stereo version or a Instrumental version without the vocals, George actually sang the vocals but the instruments wern't actually played live due to the fact that they had a cover drummer in, you tell at the start when the song begins, jimmy nichol dosent actually know what the hell the song he is playing too as he just hits the drums the same pattern on every song they played at that mini -show.
