Good point about Iran becoming stronger. In the middle East Iraq, which was nearly a secular society under Sadaam Hussein balanced the extremely religious Iranian state. Militarily and economically they were quite balanced. By destroying the secularized state of Iraq, Bush and the U.S. basically increased the power of Islamic fanaticism. People are upset at him because he hasn't done a lot of what he said he would do. He has continued Bush's big spending and big deficit policies only on a much larger scale. I'm a Libertarian and there are easily some things I would have supported him on like getting all the troops out of Iraq in 16 months like he said he would do but the worst for me was his reinstatement of The Patriot Act. He promised he would repeal it, instead he entended it. Another typical politician.
