  • "Gänsehaut " we say in germany: it is if you get by emotion a skin like a goos thank s super pictures from the best dog in the world r. bauer berlin germany

  • Honestly, one of the sweetest things I've seen in a while. Beautiful.

  • das sind wirklich die schönsten Hunde der Welt.

meiner ist im Februar dieses Jahr verstorben ist 12 Jahre alt geworden :)

    nie wieder ein anderer Hund.

  • Please adopt me T^T

  • nádhera!!! <3 Ich LIebe Rhodesian Ridgeback!

  • deeply in love with RRs, they make great companions. give him a pat from me :-)

  • Magyar vizsla. Édes a videó!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The song playing is by a Nigerian Artist called "2face Idibia"

  • that is a vizsla not a ridgeback, but still beautiful.

  • this is how the breed is, they are very protective of the family, they will give their life to protect family, i have 7 grandkids and harley loves all of them, if you haven't owned a RR then you have no idea what kind of dog this is. they are a very special breed of dog. to get in my house you would have to shoot the dog. they are very dosile but can be very mean when they or the family is threatened. Harley would not hurt a child, but would protect them

  • Keep telling yourself this is a Ridgeback even though it doesn't actualy have a ridge. Vizsla's are excellent dogs I've owned eight of them myself; you shouldn't be ashamed to own one. Ever wondered why the white in your dogs eyes doesn't show? Vizsla's have had the white in the eyes bred out over many many years; Rhodesian's don't share this trait...!

  • na was für ein hund!! ich will auch so ein !!

  • cutest video, I don't want to imagine how broken hearted when, realistically, the dog dies when she is around 12-14 years old. I don't mean to be a mood killer but it's so unfortunate that dogs don't live longer. We make such tight bonds with them, I have a 3 year old Rhodesian myself and he is my buddy, I love him so much.

  • @landis69 I got a 3 year old RR girl and sometimes I think of life without her and it makes me so wicked sad. I mean, it's been only three years, right? but I don't know how I got along without her before. Theses dogs are just the greatest. I hope you and your dog will share a long life together.

  • cutest video

  • Very Cute @ 1:08

  • Sweetest dogs on the planet. Loved your photos.

  • The ridgeback is a VERY versatile and intelligent dog, i t can do anything..

    Hunting lions = no problems

    Babysitting kids = no problems

  • i'm really impressed how good these dogs are with children

really changed my perspective on the rr

  • I would never hesitate to let MY children play with MY dogs. The problem is strange dogs and kids who don't have dogs. Children use sticks or pointy objects to test things and explore sometimes, and not being around domesticated pets, they don't know it's not ok to poke dogs with threatening objects. Watch your kids with dogs you don't know and watch your dogs with kids you don't know. It might save their lives. Dogs don't spontaneously go apeshit, they just don't. Humans do.

  • Sorry to get carried away but I'm imagining alot of people might read this... There have been incidents in the past where loving family pets maul babies..and i know people will say "but i never leave them alone"..the fact of the matter is, if a baby is directly underneath a dog, even if youre in the room, it can be tragic as seen in the past. Dr Mark Lawrie, president of the Australian Veterinary Association, has firmly stated such positions of dominance shouldn't occur - i hope ppl heed to this

  • i know youre probably a good parent and all and ofcourse this video is sweet - but honestly, do you know what a ridgeback is capable of in a bite? NEVER ALLOW YOUR DOG TO BE COMPLETELY ON TOP OF YOUR CHILD - if your dog happens to be sick one day, or injured, or your baby accidentally pokes it in the eye - EVEN IF YOU ARE PRESENT - your ridgeback could kill your baby - and then your beautiful ridgeback would be put down as well - and you would be responsible for that carnage...

  • @rathaunike pain in the ass people like you shouldn't be allowed to post on videos. Really.

  • @chippendaleduo great argument moron. i love 99% of this video, its just the scenes with the dog on top that make me cringe and I feel like I need to telling the parent. u sound like an inbred fuckwit so ill break it down for you - i study medicine, its scientifically proven that dogs have periods where their neurotransmitters will spontaneously synapse like in epilepsy...its just instinct..yes theyre beautiful...but you need to be aware that they may snap and it can be fatal for a baby.

  • @rathaunike *claps* you're also superior in your maturity, correct? "Fuckwit?" Pitiable. If dogs are such a danger as your post portrayed them to be, then they should not be pets. Lets release them all. We can no longer have dogs as pets because of their neurotransmitters. What a shame. You need to be aware that I have dogs. I'm not as nuts as you, though.

  • @chippendaleduo haha so because i swear im immature? lol i guess 95% of the world is immature ;). okay moron.ill say it again. i LOVE dogs; probably more then u. im the kinda guy who feels more for animal then people - BUT like i said, animals are animals. they act on instinct, they are NOT human. u know when lightening occurs and dogs run away from loving homes - thats instict...u know when a dog with a high prey drive chases something uncontrollably - thats instict..when a dog is injured

  • @rathaunike no im saying get rid of dogs because of their neurotransmitters. im saying understand they are animals, they arent as intelligent or restrained as us...please exercise restraint when putting a big dog on top of a baby..always consider whether the dog is jealous of the baby, feels threatened, injured etc....but honestly, to be safe, just never allow it to happen. 99% of dogs who attack are that way because of their owners being careless...i hope for ur kids sake u consider this. tc

  • @rathaunike Brilliant, please, continue to read my mind and tell me how much I love dogs in comparison to you. If you don't like what's in this video, then don't partake in it. Don't put children near dogs. That's your prerogative. But being a complete dick in YouTube comments gets you nowhere and no one gives a shit what "helpful" advice you're offering. Just because you sit in front of the compy and type out a 5 post rant, you think people will listen to you? Tough tits, dumbass.

  • @chippendaleduo dw, im sure u havn got kids - u probably take it up the arse and tell ur buddies u got laid - now go getcha ur fucking shineboxx!! :)

  • @rathaunike Wow, brilliant. Now I totally believe and want to listen to you. Whatever happened to being done with this? Apparently you're not. Preach your bullshit somewhere else :) Buddies? You assume I'm a man. And what's getting laid have to do with a dog and a child being "too close" as you seem to think? Nothing. You're floundering. Grow a pair and grow up.

  • @chippendaleduo and it bites all of a sudden without warning...thats instinct...thats because unlike humans, dogs have less control over their instinct..u can train a dog as much as you want, but they will, at times, act purely on instict. and they DO have episodes of spontaneous neurotransmitter activity where they act without thinking and suddenly...so if you put a dog on top of a baby and it acts instinctively one day and bites...its enough pressure to kill a baby - so PLEASE don't do it

  • @chippendaleduo this is gonna be my last reply because i hate internet arguments. I know you don't like me but honestly I'm only trying to do my civic duty - dogs are pack animals, if they are on top of a baby it speaks volumes to them. not to mention they can sometimes snap..ive had a dog for 9 years, bit me ONCE, turned out she had a fractured rib...she apologized for the next 3 days by constantly displaying affection...but the fact is, if that was a baby, that baby would have serious injury

  • Love this! Thanks for sharing. It reminds me of my Ridgie - he was the love of my life.

  • 1:09 so cute :)

  • lol she's still so small and the RR is getting huge still trying to curl up with her, cute.

  • 1:11 is too cute

  • you have a wonderful ridgeback there!

  • My favourite dogs :)

  • they really are one of the most perfect dogs, if you have run around room for them.

  • 何度 見たでしょうか。。。見るたび、優しい気持ちになり、元気になります。ありがとう。こんな 素敵な 動画を。今日も一日 優しさに包まれて過ごします。。。

  • aaawww...... how cute!!!!!!! I love it:)

  • so cute :) just a beautiful video...i would be very surprised if your children dont grow up to be very kind and compassionate animal lovers :)

  • I can't believe the veterinarian hasn't filled you in on the actual breed of this dog... Sad! This is a Vizsla, aka.. Hungarian Pointer. You can tell by the size of paws, ears, and lack of dark coloration around the snout; not to mention the absence of a ridge.

I will concede you may have a mix of the two...

  • Are you sure this isn't a Viszla and not a Rhodesian Ridgeback...? I believe you may have the wrong breed listed...

  • @Ladplease that is ridgeback it has ridge and his nose is little pinky

  • Nice video, thanks for uploading. I have my second R.R, and would never dream of getting an other kind of dog. My first R.R became 11 years old before I had to put her down because of bone cancer, it was like loosing a family member. Now we`re experiencing having a second one of these great dogs....

  • I have a RR also her name is akila also but spelt akeylah. Mine is a massive sook, but they are so loyal. They are such wonderful dogs.

  • We have a Chessie that's a year old and an RR that's a 3 month old mutant....they're best friends and play ALL DAY....... Greatly enjoyed your video!!!

  • What a stunning creature you chose. I have a ridgeback boxer cross, and she behaves the same way... Always guarding, but always on top of us snuggling! She's like one of the kids, and she 'mothers' the kids and other animals :)

  • if you didn't say either "ohw" or "ahh" at least 3 times during this video,

your heart is OFFICIALLY made of STONE...and you are probably "the AntiChrist".

  • aorable!

  • this video is ... no words to say how beautiful... a dream :-)

  • How adorable!!! You have a massive family of animals that all get along!! It's beautiful!

  • fantastic video, beautiful photos

  • She´s a RIDGEBACK but she´s ridgeless.

A few of the Ridgebacks is born without the ridge. unfortunately

the most of this puppies is immediately destroyed because they don´t have the ridge on their backs. And i think that´s horrible. To destroy a puppy just because it don´t looks the way it "should".

Three of my dogs sisters also don´t have the ridge but the others of her sisters and brothers have it.

  • @Hellohey78 I totaly agree with you, I have ridgeback number 2 right now, she has a perfect ridge, but my first R.R girl had a ridge foult, that did not make me love her any less. Once I went to a dogshow, and a man came up to me and told me "dogs like that should not be allowed to live... How heartless can one become? We told the guy to take a long walk on a short pier....

  • Why isn't there a rigde on its back?

  • that's not a rhodesian ridgeback. It's a Vizla

sorry formy english but i am italian...

    W rhodesian ridgeback!

  • that is one beautiful baby blanket :) hehe

  • sweet

    beutiful dogs

  • The best dogs of the world!

  • RR's always in my heart!!<3

  • I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback who is 4 months old and he's already incredibly gentle with children. He doesn't jump or bite them. He isn't aggressive with anyone actually and we don't have children in the household so I'm lead to believe they are amazing, sweet dogs. My uncle had 2 RR's he raised from 9weeks and when they were 3 years old he had his first child. They watched over her until the day they died. They are an amazing breed.

  • any dog can be nasty if u feed it gunpowder and beat it with a phone cord. rhodies are amazing. a little hyper and stuborn but VERY VERY VERY smart and always hungry.

  • c'est trop craquant ! ta chienne est trop belle, cela montre bien que les molosses ne sont pas forcement des tueurs d'homme !

    bonne continuation

  • Hi! That`s a wonderful movie. I just want to ask the title of the song and who sing it!?

    Thanks a lot

  • The title of the song it " African Queen "

  • I´ve never heard that the ridgebacks are agressive. This is a very kind dog. This is absolutely not a agressive dog. And i´ve met a lot of Ridgebacks but never a agressive one. I LOVE Ridgebacks

  • dude...they were once bred to distract LIONS, and hunt, they can be agressive

  • and bull dog's were bread to bait bulls, Any dog can be agressive, but NO Breed is inherrently agressive. Breeds gets reputations and idiots start using dogs for that rep. Our Ridge is a loving 7 month old and not agressive at all. just like the one in this video.

  • this dog is definitly NOT agressive. I own one and have met about 4 other ridgebacks and they are the sweetest dog in the world. They are great family pets, and are not too hyper. THEY ROCK. I agree with Hellohey78, I LOVE RIDGEBACKS!!

  • @Hellohey78 They can be aggressive, but to strangers. Not to their own family

  • i love this dogs...they are so beautiful but i heard that they are also very aggressive and you could never know if they bite anybody...is that right?

    greetings from austria

  • absolutely not. Rhodesian ridgebacks are very patient, kind and great with kids.

  • This is one of those dogs that you can say has no real tendency to be aggressive.

A very patent dog and very protective of its pack (its family). You just have to make sure that they know who the pack leader is while they are very young.

Ridgebacks are too smart for their own good sometimes. If you get one, just make sure you get one that is from a registered breeder and that you also check the temperament of the mother and father.

I was 5 years old when I grew up with ours.

    Amazing dogs!

  • Bbffs (baby best friends for ever)

  • Thats a fine looking liver nosed Rhodie and a beautiful baby. This dog will do a good job protecting your family. Good luck with them both.

  • OMG what a sweet video! So cute, it made me wanna cry. It reminds me of the bond I have with my dog Lola, and my now doggy angel Nina!

  • Your daughter must have something magical for the animals. What a beautiful video.

    Greetings from Germany

  • That was beautiful. You have a lovely Ridgeback! :D

  • Very touching video! I love it. Watched it a few times and sent it to others. Makes me want to make a video of my little sweetie (ridgie)too. Nice music too.

  • ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!I have 3 Ridgies and 3 kids.Ridgies really do make excellent family pets.1 of mine is know as Brown Mummy as she is loving and caring with my children, She thinks my new baby is hers!My kids sit on them and sleep with them and I trust them so much! They were left as Nanny's with the tribes kids in Africa while the adults went hunting...that just say it all!Cats, dogs, rats, how refreshing to see someone who isnt afraid to let their children play with animals!

  • my ridgie thinks its here duty to protect me, she is so big and intiimidating that everybody thinks she is is vicious, but she just wants to protect me...if my grandma trys to take my dog for a walk and im still at home, the dog wont go cause it wants to be with me ALL the time lol, and my dog waits for me when i get home from school

  • that is truly a great slide show,I love the stroller one where the pup was sleeping on your sweet little girl...
