In the conversation that line came from, he was using that line to describe the way he believed Dawkins perceived creationists.

I think this is precisely why I had such a strong mistrust of the system as a whole...& I COULD NOT WAIT to get out of school, it was positively dreadful,..hoping the world were vastly different....you could hope in one hand and shit in the other...which one do you suppose fills up faster?
