Of course people who hate metal aren't going to like Nevermore's cover. Just like huge metalheads like me aren't going to be fans of the original. I think it's great they took a song with a very emotional message and transported it to a different genre.  Yeah, this performance is a little messy, but I love Nevermore's extremely heavy adaptation of a classic.

yeah they made the song their own in a way, turned it into some sort of modern thrash onslaught, better that way than when bands cover songs exactly the same way, nevermore put their own style to the song and wrote it how it should have been, the message and dark subject matter touched deserve it to be a metal song
