for all of you who used the intel gma chipsets and got crashed while gaming after updating your gma driver.try to check your gma driver whether it is generic or customized driver.if you guys who has a customized driver,do not download the driver from the intel site and try to get a new driver from your retailer or manufacturer or try the roll back setting and use back your old gma driver.

I got this problem too after updating the gma driver and my driver is customized.now i fix this problem.:D

What happens to me is the following: whenever I´m watching a video in YouTube, it will start sort of "stuttering" at first and then the screen will go green (sometimes black) and the following message: "The igfx controller has crashed but [the screen] recovered". Actually, it´s BS, because the video will not be working anymore =/

Well, it didn´t work for me because right after the download finishes and I start installing the program, it says something like "this setup is not validated for your system, please contact the manufacturer (a.k.a. fuckin´ Intel)". What else can I do?

@efer89 This video is substantially old, if this driver doesnt work then i'd update to the most recent driver. If that doesn't work, then i'd search around for your specific problem (Eg: when it happens, what happens when it happens, etc.)

@rany615 i am completely unfamiliar with the ati series, but i have a geforce 8400gs on my desktop and it is pretty sick, i can play most of my games all high settings (no anti-aliasing of course, and on a decent resolution) and, for the most part, i get 40-60 fps. (games tested: L4D, Project reality, Fallout 3, splinter cell chaos theory, Stalker Shadow of chernobyl, lots of other source games besides l4d) and common sense tells me the 9800 is better than the 8400 lol

The other day I was looking for a fix for the same IGFX problem on another website,

And someone linked me to a download on the Intel website with the EXACT setup. So no reason for mediafire...and when I ran it, I got the same error like always, "Your system does not meet minimum system requirements." Yet my computer is so weak if the igfx driver goes down ONCE during Combat Arms, It'll happen again in another like 3-5 minutes. And it happens more.

i haven't experienced the problem alot of people are having, but i doubt it has something to do with how good or bad your computer specs are. It's probably just that you have the wrong hardware, not that your hardware isn't good enough. And no, that's vista home basic.

i wish i could help you, but like i've said to the last 5 people, this hasn't happened to me and i do not know a workaround, intel no longer supports this graphics driver so you will get no help from them. Think of it this way: Each model of graphics card has its own unique graphics driver. Even though a nvidia 9800 is much better than an integrated graphics card, the integrated graphics card's driver will NOT work with a 9800. Regardless of it saying u dont meet the "minimum" requirements.
