@JZepeda1231 Click the start menu and right click on "Computer" then left click "Properties" at the bottom. It should bring you to a page listing some of the specs and the OS name. You will see "System Type:" and beside that it will either say 32-bit Operating System or 64.

@JZepeda1231 I know there are problems on 64-bit, I have used 64-bit before but never attempted to use the PS3 controller so it's hard for me to help you. I can help you though if you can tell me if what kind of controller you have.

sORRY, BUT i'M SURE YOU MISSED THE STEP IN YOUR TUTORIAL ABOUT COPYING THE INCLUDED dll TO...

c:\windows\system32

and to

c:\windows\system32\drivers

This will fix those that have the issue of no response from the controls in the game controller section.

Do it between installing lib USB and running the ps3 sixaxis program

Make sure your pressing the PS button when it tells you. Or try to install the drivers, plug the controller in press the PS button, then open ps3sixaxis_en (it should close) then press the PS button again. That would work flawlessly.

I got it working!

It works with VBA [visual boy advance]

But the Project 64 won't even let me input a control buton.

Im really getting annoyed. I've looked at 8 tutorials and each one told me basically the same thing. I plug my sixaxis to a usb. download some random file. dont open the file. hit the ps button. calibrate it. and it should miraculously work for anything i want it to. That never happens. All that happens is i go to control pannel, see PS3CONTROLLER i try to calibrate it, i move the left stick, nothing, i move the right stick, nothing, i hit buttons, nothing.

This tutorial works for both Windows XP, and Vista. There's no reason why it should not work. Your probably messing up a step in the tutorial. I was really trying to make it as simple as possible but sometimes tutorials can't be like that. The steps tell you specifically what to do. All I can say is to do the tutorial all over again.

are you admin on your pc? maybe the fact that you cant install the driver is your only impediment. other than that I cant really think of any reason this tutorial wouldnt work.

It will never work on Macs because the standard executable file for programs on Windows is exe, and Mac doesn't recognize exe files, while it will ONLY work if the file is properly re-encoded as a dmg file instead. If someone could do that, I'd be amazed. LOL.
