The Joys of Duck Tape/Gaffer Tape!

Not to be rude. But there are a few errors:

There's Duct Tape which is...well Duct Tape.

There's DUCK Tape which is a brand of tape. It's not Duct tape however.

Gaffers tape is as strong as Duct Tape but the glue doesn't melt, it's more waterproof, and of course it doesnt tear paint or leave residue.

There is a difference between duct tape and gaffer tape. Gaffer tape has a cloth coating while duct tape has a plastic one. gaffer tape also does not leave the same sticky residue when you peel it off whereas duct tape does. You said duck which is only a brand of duct tape, not the actual thing. Duct tape is the right word although duck is the original name due to its waterproof plastic coating, like a duck.

@DuctCrafts Duck is not the original word. It was Duct because of its use in Duct repairs...it was waterproof before but Duck just called it that.
