I just finish this entire show in one long session, it was so great! I dont know if theres some sort of significance behind the different endings or what? Can someone fill me in? Is it just a trivial thing between the alpha and beta or is there a reason for the difference? Just to differentiate between the world-lines or?
Thanks alot. This is a pretty cool idea, and it really makes sense with what was going on in the series. One of the best anime of the genre i've ever seen. It kinda created a whole new genre, too.
second verse, another layer is added that plays difficult to see overlapping images at many points (not just the kurisu scene), it's generally darker but only a little bit excpt the kurisu scene, timing for scene changes, the first scene with rays of light changes angles, and the diversion number scene shows different numbers, the last few seconds have different angles

They used the 2nd verse too instead of the first for the beta opening. But I'm sure everyone knows that.

@shinsaikou All the artifacts in the OP's are intended by the studio, this is not a rendering problem
