in britain years ago there was a tv show called dennis pennis where a little red headed ugly weasel guy goes upto actors and celebrities and mocks them verbally on camera. one time he went upto morgan freeman after the london premiere of this movie and asked him- morgan is that the best head youve ever been given? I think Pitt committing a murder/suicide would've made a better ending than seeing him be put into cop cars at the end, because if all 7 people (representing each sin) died, it would make the movie seem more complete and it would be a truly unique case in which the antagonist wins. In the chosen ending, he still wins, as Pitt's life is clearly ruined...but it just seemed odd and awkward that he didn't die too with the rest of the sinners.
