Pho is a staple for me. Pho to a viet is like Pad Thai is to a Thai. Kimchee to a Korean. Sushi to a Japanese. Tamale to a Mexican (?), papusa to an El Salvedorian (?)....you get the idea.

@asian12329 thats probably because here in van, the restaurants are catering to the yuppie crowd from yaletown or coal harbour, im pretty sure the restaurant featured here could care less about calories or protein content! haha i wish we could get such stuff here though!

Also the Cantonese (it's not spicy but the broth is the best of the 3 noodle soup)

thats exactly how I feel about Pho, incredible soup that is customizable, I add a lot of Sriracha sauce however, probably corrupting the "vietnamese" dish.

why would a vietnamese sauce corrupt the dish? the name 'sriracha' is thai, but it's the only thai thing about it. the sauce was made by a vietnamese guy for vietnamese people. it's a vietnamese sauce.

you made me do a little research on it and yes, the company (Huy Fong Foods) was founded by a vietnamese-american, but the name leads you to believe its thai. Either way, I won't feel like I'm corrupting the dish :D.
