Half dead zombie eyes and shiny plastic faces - and instead of seeming feisty and raw, Captain Haddock looks like his plastic face is about to bust into tears in every scene! Yes, its modern CGI folks - I can't imagine anything less lifelike or more predictable. Not since CGI turned Santa's sack into a giant airborn scrotum in Polar Express has CGI made a more miserable attempt at sucking the life from a story. Well done!!

@MrDonosor Euh pour info cher ami, chez les anglophones, tintin c'est toujours prononcé Tine tine, et ça depuis que les albums ont été traduit chez eux. Tout comme chez eux milou est devenu snowy et les dupondt les thomsons. Chaque pays où tintin a été traduit a eu droit à sa prononciation propre avec des noms de persos qui changent, 'faut faire avec. Et pis après tout, nous les français on dit bien Sp"i"derman alors que ça s'prononce Sp"aye"derman.

Ce sont les noms de la BD en anglais depuis toujours (des décennies). Bien trouvé: nom bateau et très courant. Bien trouvé aussi pour Snowy (qui est un mot qui existe en anglais: neigeux, enneigé). Tournesol c'est Calculus (mais il n'est pas dans ce film).

@MrDonosor Ce n'est pas un spoil, il est dit partout que Tournesol n'est pas dans le film (d'ailleurs il n'est pas dans l'album "le secret de la Licorne", bien qu'il apparaisse pour la 1ère fois dans la suite "le trésor de R le R"). Pour "nom bateau", je voulais dire que les traducteurs anglais ont trouvé (il y a qques décennies déjà!) une bonne traduction de Dupont/-d. Il fallait un nom banal, "bateau", très courant, comme Dupont. D'où Thom(p)son. Et avec la différence orthographique en +.

Le nom français "Dupont" est considéré comme un des plus courants en France, et c'est le nom habituel qu'on donne au français moyen. C'est donc un nom "bateau". Et donc les traducteurs anglais ont pris un nom banal et courant anglais, un nom "bateau" anglais, à savoir "Thomson".

@SquareTales This movie is based on 3 Tintin-comics: "The Secret of the Unicorn", "Red Rackham's Treasure" and "The Crab with the Golden Claws"! I guess is that S & J have mixed them together into one story! The desert-scene is from "The Crab with the Golden Claws" but the ship isin't in it! Once again, I guess it's a dream-sequence insted of the original were Tintin dreams he's a bottle of whisky!

My advice, read the comics first while you still can! ;)
