@Supernaturalalisa playing Oblivion or Skyrim is not the same as Morrowind. MW is unique in its own way, the only thing is that it looks like crap today. If it could be remade to have the look and feel of Skyrim, then i'd certainly be interested to step into that world again.
@campbell8378 I guess fast travel was brought about by numerous suggestions to have more Striders and travel boats all over Morrowind but since doing that would pollute the map every inch, Bethesda decided that perhaps a Fast travel option be applied instead. Remember that Striders and boats were available only at certain points on the map forcing long painstaking walks to go to destinations. But it seems even Fast travel is being criticized. Personally i have no quarrel with fast travel.

@WannabeWeegee I asure you that is completely normal. When i first got the game, im like wtf glitch, so i googled it. And although you don't hit ever time, you can increase your chances of hitting, by when first making your character, focus almost all of skills onto one type of weapon, and then train with that one weapon.

@WannabeWeegee Yeah. At the beggining of the game you will miss most of your hits. Tough you have to check which weapon skill for you is highest and then train it higher. I now have long blade on 97 and I hit 90% of time.

I downloaded this game but it seems to be broken or something, because my character (a Nord, Warrior, under The Lord sign) is EXTREMELY weak... I started a new game, and when I fight enemies on the wild, the ironsword, the fists, the dagger NEVER touch an enemy, I can actually be killed by a rat, I can destroy my finger clicking the mouse, but the weapon won't even hit once even if the enemy is right in front of my nose. Besides, any cheat I enter in the console doesn't work at all!! Help!
@PsycoCruser Every character starts off that weak. You just need to increase your skill level by using the weapon, or by paying an NPC to train you. By level 4 rats won't be a problem. As for cheats, make sure you enter the code correctly.
I remember that guy on the bridge, it was my first playthrough, I was lvl 1 and I decided to go head on into the main quest thinking it'd be easy. And then the skeleton killed me in three hits.

@Gamingforthepeople there may be other reasons too. for example you cannot keep attacking too fast, or you'll get tired (your fatigue gets low). and when you're tired, it's VERY hard to hit. so keep an eye on the green bar.

I just started playing morrowind and after about 3-4 hours of playing I have concluded that morrowind has by far the most frustrating and broken combat system I have ever encountered in an RPG

u can travel fast with siltstriders or boats. there is also the mages guild that can teleport you if u are in their guild

My best fights were while playing as a fist fighter.
I drank lots of alcohol (in the game)
to raise strength and beat far superior people.
(like someone wearing ebony while I had steel armor.)
