@ThrilloVanHouten i dont they they wear earplugs. there are many videos from ISS where people are talking in a reasonable voice and you can clearly hear whats going on, the background noise levels are not bad. I think the tour guide is full of shit

That's the telescope i suppose. The tolet is in the back on the right side (or left side on the video).

Actually thats the vzor periscope it can be used to align the station for docking even if the main displays are not working.
The Russians typically always have a simple mechanical back up for things.
The toilet is in a closet along the side wall just like in the shuttle.

Earth has gravity, that's why they are standing on the floor. Anyway, Mir was destroyed ion 2000 when it came to the end of it's life and it burned up in the earth's atmosphere. Do you really think some random students would really be in space!?
