There is a case, I have it somehwre on my computer, a Supreme Court case, that says that taking away the citizenship because somebody committed a crime is unconstitutional. Of course, that was when we all believed in the Supreme Court - today we probably will be told that disallowing a citizen to return to the states may be odious but it is not protected under the Constitution.
I was really shocked by what he said to the Brady Center. I am Irish and we don't have an armed population - I am not pro-guns; so my alarm was not a concern about guns. It was tthe blatant fascism of the statement, and the fact he is secretary of state. I thought...this man will run the American Gulag.

My feelings on this have changed somewhat, perhaps as a result of the realization that prosecutions will not happen. My greatest concern is that the public will not know what happened, and hence not make an educated opinion on how to handle POWs, terrorists and enemy combatants in the future.
