  • I learned to make Laddu, from my local Hindu dairy lady, she gave me the recipe made it perfect first time, then disaster. So trying to figure out what I did wrong this is an excellent piece.

Powdered sugar is known as icing sugar You can use Caster sugar instead, however this is often still to coarse . I noted in comments people asking measurements.

100grm of Gee ( this is purified Butter)

250gm of Channi ( chick pea flour)

250grms of powdered sugar ( icing sugar )

  • I love watching this man cook. He's so happy and he's very straight forward. I'd love to try one of his foods one day.

South Asian cuisine is so different to me. I've had it a few times, and it's quite rich.

  • hmm im not indian ..but this sure looks gooood.

  • I have noticed that South Asians, especially Indians and Bangladeshis like oily pastries and desserts. What I really like is their flat breads, I make my own chappaties and parathas to eat with tea for breakfast. I add grounded Chia seeds(Salvia Hispanica I.) to the durum flour.

  • it is similar to cakes and pastries with the only difference that a lot of butter is put in the batter whereas we roast in butter.

  • i know he was speaking english but i dont know any items he said.

  • well... its just ghee, besan( chick pea flour), poweered suger and cardomom powder.

  • For that crispyness you need to add sooji,

  • is Basan flour same as semolina flour?

  • Hi, no besan is not the same as semolina flour. Besan is a flour made from chickpeas. or i think also called garbanzo beans.

  • Comment removed

  • besan flour is from chickpeas

semolina is from durum wheat (not common wheat)
