  • Dude, you obviously have absolutely no idea about how this ad and other ads like it work. It's just like the Carlton Draught "It's a big ad" ad. Basically, it's purely for the sake of showing it. Everyone's talking about it and looks forwards to watching it when it comes on the box. Their market audience, surprise surprise, is people who already drink. Beer companies seldom produce ads aimed at non-drinkers. It's all about the brand name, and what brand the people watching will want to drink.

  • Oh Dang! They have to dirnk ALLLLL that beer!!

Hmm, wonder if thats how they got their idea!

  • Pure genius. I am actually doing this for my year eight assessment in music.

We only have about 4 or 5 people doing it. It wont sound as good as those guys did it, but we will try.

Our version is actually a modified version of "The Magnificent Seven" theme song.

But, you guys did good, keep it up fella's.

    Cheers.

  • Very well thought of and put together. I like this!

  • i didnt acuallty think they really did it.... i thought it would be to hard

  • Yes, after I first saw it, I was thinking that it was computerized sound or something and they were pretending to play it. But I guess it is real. Amazing. And expensive to get all those musicians for so long. I wonder if their sales improved.

  • awsome im amazed at how much work was put into it. gotta love the vb ads!

  • Could an ad be better? Fuck No. spectacular. i wish i was drunk now. hahah. best ad out yet.

  • Shame that it's a carbon copy of an Australian Kellogg's Sultana Bran Crunch ad from about a year ago, directed by Roger Tompkins and shot in Aukland. Did you photo-copy the storyboard and paste in bottles over the cereal bowls?

  • my god, it's like there's no artistic integrity in the world of commercial advertising! you'd better alert the relevant authorities asap.

  • What's even cooler is that the end guy on the xylophone was my percussion teacher in Year 8! WOO! Go Sergei!

  • That bottle blow at the very start wasn't a C. It's F.

But damn the ad was awesome, but I seriously didn't know it was the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra! :O That just makes it even better!

  • yeh they were only muckin round dude they arent music nerds like you

  • actually they are in the Orchestra so yes they are music nerds..

because they have to know all the different notes and shit

thats there job to know them and play them

    anyways i love this ad!!

  • i'm in the process of sending the ad, and how it was made to my aussie mates who are overseas and haven't seen it yet!

    BLOODY BRILLIANT!

  • i love the conductor! i dont know him, but he's so charming some how, esp how he takes a swig of the VB at the end of the vid

  • it's soooo awesome that they didnt just get a bunch of actors to fake it, but actually got the melb symphony orchestra to really play it for real!!

  • That was the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life

And I absolutely loved it! Cheers fellas

  • absolutely brilliant idea, brilliantly performed and put together. This is MUSIC

    congrats

  • This is just the BEST beer advertisment ever.

  • made me VB Thirsty
