It is possible that "God" is part of everything we imagine that understands us. To where, given a choice, we would not just defend "good" but do so wisely. If so, we would know what "good" is. I'm sorry, but this is so wrong. How can a Christian condone killing - of any kind? God said: "Thou shall not kill." Christ amplified this by telling us to love our enemy (Matt. 5); he who lives by the sword shall die by the sword (Matt. 26); and

The Hebrew for kill is murder, "to kill without purpose or reason."  If this is your stance, How do you defend yourself when God chose Israel to destroy heathen nations and heathen to punish Israel? They certainly killed, did they not?

Yes they did, but Moses gave them that command. It's a subtle difference. Christ said: "Moses allowed you to divorce b/c of the coldness of your hearts."

Besides that the understanding that "kill" is translated as "murder" is a way for man to get what he wants and act as if he is listening to God. Also, I can define any act of killing "with purpose and reason".

And finally, why would Christ say to _love_ our enemy?

The path is narrow - not broad. I constantly pray asking God to put me on it.

And what of all the battles in which Moses did not give them that command? What does Moses and divorce have to do with killing? You've obviously not studied much Hebrew. Thou shalt not kill. In the translation is, "you shall not take (murder)INNOCENT life." Maybe that'll clear it up. Christ would say "love your enemy, just like through the Psalms He says He not only hates the sin, but also the sinner.

The meaning of love and hate comes from the NT in which it is explained that God loved Jacob (loved = saved) and hated Esau (hated = rejected, lost, not saved.

I don't think you or anyone else can just generalize and assume the worst of our troops and put all of them in some nice, convenient box and say they are bad. They have a purpose, albeit an immediate and dangerous one, to disable the enemy. It is war and in war there exists collateral damage. The troops do not know if they contact friendlies or some kid with 10 kilos of C4 or Semtex attached to him or her with a simple detonator device used as a pawn by one of our enemies.

I so enjoy making these videos. After Hurricane Katrina, (we lost our home) we were kinda "stuck" for six months, waiting, still waiting ;-). I started collecting pictures and graphics as a way to feel better. I'm now in my third month of chemo, and I'm not very strong physically. So getting to make use of the wonderful art and music is a blessing to me.
