I must admit I was very upset with the ending then I have come to realize it is the best ending for a show like The Sopranos. David Chase is a GENIUS.

James Gandolfini refuses to work on a Sopranos movie. Try making that without "Tony". Won't happen. Anyway, the real ending they showed had my whole house in a kind of "WTF" uproar. Later we all decided that it was a pretty good ending.

Well actually, in an interview with David Chase, he says that the only form of an idea he has had for a Sopranos movie, which was actually given to him by a friend, is to make a movie about the Soprano grandparents first coming to the country. It would be pretty cool to see Johnny Boy & Junior running shit.

Firstly this screen went black before the shot. Therefore no one would believe it, or link it to "Everything goes black" comment in previous episodes. What does happen is Tony walks into da restaurant hears "Journey" song and IMAGINES rest of shown episode. Then his wife walks in and wakes up to new episode. Clever Dick David Chase.

I like your thinking though his dreams are usually when he's sleeping, would be cool if the whole thing was a dream but I think that's frowned upon in the writing world.

It was kinda strange though, how the black guys that previously shot Tony were there, aswell as the truck driver from S2 who's relative was killed by Chris.

Not to mention the guy at the bar was Nikki Leotardo (Phil's nephew)

He either definately got killed of it was a dream.

Members only was the episode where Tony was shot by uncle JR. Tony was also wearing the same black and grey shirt at the time. Two obvious clues by Chase, along with the big orange cat on the wall in the back of the restaurant when Tony enters. The cat was the death omen that Paulie was refering to the whole episode that was staring at the picture of Chris on the wall.Classic Sollozo murder from the Godfather, which was Tony's favorite seen in the movie.

The ending was awesome, that had to be the greatest finale ever. The sopranos creators are going to make a movie and bring it out at the end of 08 and depending on how the movie does they might bring out another season of the sopranos where everything gets answered.
