The Germans still are the best tank builders, the made the Panther, the Tiger and the Kingstiger in WW2, and now they produce tanks like the Leopard 2

No active defenses, poor range no missiles system yet. Counter too panther = t44, king tiger 2 counter is the is4. Germany makes good tanks but too much on high end parts and no production value. merk 4/5 is current best and NATO best. though back too my point it like a leo2a6 fighting a Chinese type 80 lol.

@nielscarp Merkava mk4 i put the /5 becuase she has so many add-ons that new 1s built with all of it would be called mk5 most likely. She better then the leo2a6/7 becuase her armor about as think as the leo2a7 maybe a bit less. yet her forward engines adds so much more metal that she better then any other tank armor wise. it the l44 gun yet best range with the LAHAT missile 8km. She has active defenses first of any nato early 2011. Then she the only MBT to carry troops + crew after all that.

I actually think the t90 is a more well rounded tank for different scenarios. Definitely better for Iraq and Afghan war type conflicts. The Abrams can probably win in an all out battle but it mostly depends on the crew.

@999cheetos999 Your wrong in just about every thing. T-90 saw action in Georgia (not much tho). T-90 dose not have a blast proof chamber for its amunition due to the fact it uses an automatic loading system. Yes the M1A2 Abrams is bigger...but all tanks are an easy to hit (when not moving) but the Abrams makes up for it with better armour and great speed. The T-90 dose not have better armour then an M1A2 or an M1A2 TUSK. Abrams has the best targeting system in the world (Ch2 dose have it too).

T-90 is an updated varient of the T-72/ T-62 and the Abrams have taken out so many T-72s. Not to meantion the T-90 has been destroyed by T-72 in combat. Abrams tank are alot more safer for its crew beacuse it keeps its amunition in a blst proff chamber, T-90 dosent which means if a T-90 is penatrated it all over. M1A2 Tusk has way better armour then T-90

@786killzone -_- Those were not T-72's, they are called "Lion" ,Iraqs copy of T-72.Your lying, a T-90 is not truly battle proven, they only sought action in Chechnya. Hahaha T-90 ERA armor was known to survive against the best US sabot round, M829A3. T-90 is small to have blast proof chamber feature, because these tanks rely on height, T-90 small/slim, M1A2 big/fat(easier target). T-90 has a stronger gun (125mm).
