I baught the e-razor 250 but cant get it off the ground, its pushing towards the ground like its in reverse. Can you help? I can't figure it out at all.
I just bought, and broke, a cheap knockoff rc heli, and feel a bit a of a bug. So I've watched about 50 or so videos of various rc helicopters and haven't commentedon one yet, until now. I love your split-screen. Awesome video. Thanks!
Great vid! Thanks for posting. I just got myself a Storm 450 carbon edition helicopter. I am having a problem with the tail spinning and when I adjust the trim in the opposite direction by only 1 click the helicopter then starts to spin in the opposite direction. Is this a gyro issue, a sub trim issue or should I just move the tail linkage rod in on the servo horn reducing the throw of the rudder blades? My tail linkage rod is at the outer hole on the servo horn right now.
I've got the Erazor 450. Great machine but the transmitter is awful. Replaced it with a Dx6i. Massive improvement. Also worth upgrading the gyro. But overall it is a great heli for a great price
Do not buy this chopper or any thing from Xheli, Nitroplanes, Nitrorcx, all the same company. Terrible company to do business with! Battery and charger are not goo. Expect 6 hour charge times and 5 min flights. Don't even scratch this thing or you'll void the warranty.
Update on my razor. After 3 wks the 3d switch snaped off with the switch, unexpectedly, in the 2 d mode. Total loss. I am going with a Trex 450 clone. Do not buy this bird or any from this company!!!!!!!
2. don't buy from stores that specialize in selling cheap products at not so low prices; you will end up frustrated and spending more than you think on upgrades; take your time and do your homework well before buying.
3. have patience, lots of patience; patience will save you money and lots of frustration.
@lucianmp i got a Trex250 atfer 3days of getting my blade sr i do not fly the sr anymore because of the 250 and yes do start as a trex250 or a clone parts cheaper and very stable for its size personal expericnce
I'm currently replacing my DirectX video card with a GeForce 8600 (so it supports Shader Technology), and also am making some repairs in other areas of my four year old computer. I probably won't be back up until tomorrow mid afternoon, but you can bet the first thing
I look for is your new soldering station!! ElectronTeacher (Reuben)
Great video as always Dave, and you are so right about these 250's been hard to hover, I am a newbie and practising hovering with a gaui 200, add anything above 5mph wind and god these are hard to hover. Keep up the great work, your videos have taught me lots, thank you for all your time and experience.
Any tips on mastering roll? I've only put in a few hours on ClearView sim with various helis and don't have any real problems controlling pitch or yaw, but I tend to roll in one direction, then back other way. I'm using small corrections AFAIK, but at this point I find myself rolling as little as possible to avoid having to deal with the consequences.
When I roll, I usually do it downwind and also keep nose slightly down at start. Do not move the elevator, and hold the airleron servo over till it completes the roll. THis heli is too small and twitchy to move the throttle pitch or elevator, so I just hold it over.
nice little heli, I fly a Skyartec Wasp V3 which is about same size and weight and they fly great too. Smooth and fast enough, they handle the wind pretty good considering their low weight and I have not had the issues with the head, main shaft and feathering shaft so far but this one seems to fly pretty good also. Every model has its pros and cons I guess. Now I think Jeff should fly it, good luck ! LOL.
Your right. I review them stock, however, as most novices have no idea what your talking about, and learn with what they buy. I dont recommend this heli to learn on.
I have to say Mr. Herbert that is a nice unit. the main shaft and berrings look really good. Nice flying. Good luck with the Spitfire. I thought i might ask you to concider to do a video on the Blade Cx3. Anyway nice video as usual.
I didnt know there were directions. I mounted it on this tiny heli so you could see it, and the ground in the video. It also was the easiest place to mount it, where I did.
well i suggest geting a blazing star from xheli or even one of the lama cx2s there great little co axel helicopters to start learning to fly on i started out on a helimax cx micro co axel there great for understanding the basics of helicopter control
BMFoamy you want to start with a coaxial heli they have two counter rotating Rotors and no tail rotor. You can't beat the stability that you get with a coaxial helicopter. Personally like Eflights stuff but Eflight is all I know, I have friends who fly other brands successfully as well. Dave has lots of reviews for coaxial heli's look up MCX to start, on Dave's page. I started with an MCX, CX3, MSR and have ended up with a Blade 400 3d. I have learned tonnes from Dave I recommend watching Dave.
Great vid, not to mention ur taste for techno music..(having a hard time placing you at a techno club..:) but I think I am gonna grab the 450..

My 3 advices for beginners:
1. don't start with a mini sized 250 heli.
2. don't buy from stores that specialize in selling cheap products at not so low prices; you will end up frustrated and spending more than you think on upgrades; take your time and do your homework well before buying.
3. have patience, lots of patience; patience will save you money and lots of frustration.

The honey bee king 2 & 3 are classified
as 400 size helis, even though they are a little smaller than other 400's. The 250 is about the same size as the falcon 40.

clearly the camera doesn't like all the wiggling. lol

First flight in heavy wind, it was hard enough to just fly this lightweight. Maybe you could show me how to fly.
NightFlyyer 2 years ago
I know it is in heavy winds, but why doesn't he show us a flight in the gym or something
olijay96 2 years ago
I dunno. I dont drive a brand new car "wide open" on my first drives either and guess that is why I still have all my helicopters! LOL.
Did you know hovering is the hardest part of heli flying? Flopping around in the sky is easy.
Try it with a CCPM heli and and we shall see how you do. I'll be looking for your video. Good luck.
NightFlyyer 2 years ago
Nice flying. The sky cam was cool but Jeff is still the best with the steady camera. Thank you.

these light helis can be less wobbly by changing the blades ,,take the plastics off and use wooden blades for much more stability and precision
