  • "It's so strange when you're down And lying on the floor How you rise, shake you're head Get up and ask for more"

Yes, i realize that WAISAD is about divorce and it's not happy time for people, but i listen THIS song, when i have problems, when i get into trouble and i think that nobody cares about me. Only a few songs can calm down and cheer up like WAISAD. Thank you, Frida and Agnetha, Benny and Bjorn!

  • a lion on the floor

  • Majestic Anni-Frid Lyngstad at her best, amazing.

  • "Slightly worn, but dignified and not too old for sex" ahahahaha

  • This was Frida & benny divorce song. Frida mentioned in an interview that all her sadness came out it this song

  • at 1:40 when the blond one turns she looks so pissed

  • he he he she does look well pissed lol

  • I also like the spanish version of this song.

  • Is the solid bass line at the back a bass guitar or some sort of synth? I love this song, her voice and that bass line is epic!

  • Frida--absolutely gorgeous. Always was and still is.

  • AMAZING LOOKING WOMEN....EVEN NOW.

  • whoever said ABBA's lyrics are dumb was a major league asshole

  • This makes me cry!!!! the song is so powerful I love them so much it hurts they are like the missing link

  • I think this is OK, but the Mamma Mia version is better.

  • The Movie version was just the opposite of this song they used it when a couple found each other. this was written when Frida and Benny divorced each other.

  • This song has a hard edge to it, but the lyrics are pretty hard also, Compare Frida singing "Super Trooper" where her voice makes you melt. Yeah, Abba sure had a lot of range in their music. I love it all!

  • If I absolutely had to pick a favourite ABBA song, it would be this one. It's so sad but like many ABBA songs, also breathtakingly beautiful.

  • Im definitely with you.

  • This is such a good song.Wish they had sung it live as well. There are many good songs like One Of Us and Gonna Sing You My Love Song that they didn't sing them live

  • Tsenio, they have sung Gonna Sing You my Love song in Eskilstuna. I have got that concert in my computer. About WAISAD and One of Us. They didn't perform in 1982, but nevertheless it is said that live version of these song don't exist. :(

  • Then can you put iGonna Sing You My Love Song in youtube, because I really like watching them live.

  • This is so strong and perfect for Frida.

  • Comment removed

  • this song is very very very beautiful thank you abba !!!!!!

  • Thank you ABBA for all those beautiful

songs you gave to the world..

  • I found this on Wiki...

As Frida herself later recalled: "All my sadness was captured in that song."

    Nice one, Frida!

  • Bjorn and Benny are much underrated as English lyricists. With this, and many of their later works, they wrote lyrics that surpassed lyrics by native English speakers.

  • Compare ABBA's video of "I Do, I Do, I Do" to this one. They make nice bookends for ABBA's legacy.

  • Sounds like Enia eh? nice-but sad truth!

  • So heartwarming and heartbreaking!!! I cry at this song because it is filled with the emotions of ABBA's split up. Seeing this video brings a lump to my throat!

  • beautiful!!!!!

  • this is some awesome song love this

  • 1982 single, last song with her longer hair

  • I Love ABBA

  • Wait wait i figured out what she said

"We have walked some strange and lonely treks, Slightly worn but dignified and not to old for SEX" I really LOLed at that part

  • I'd never picked up on that before :) That's a facebook status if I ever saw one...

  • at 1:13 did she say " *Something* *Something* SEX" lol

  • Sad to announce that Björn Ulvaeus has been reported to have lost his memory. He doesn't even remember his fame while with ABBA.

    True story, look it up!

  • This song was recorded after Benny and Frida has split up, so it was very profound for them as a group. i don't know if younger people realise this, but everyone was shocked at the time, i was only eight but to me they were like parents and i hated the whore who remarried Benny! they had a child together who i hated purely because frida and benny never hade a child together,

  • I LOVE !!!

  • There's such a dignified sadness in Frida's vocal - incredible stuff!

  • Agnetha looks hot enough in this one to make a grown man's knees buckle like he's a teenager!!!

  • Great Swedish scenery with a great ABBA song

  • this song is sadly emotional really

  • She is beautiful in this video. I always though frida was prettier

  • same she is my favorite!

  • Love this song...Thanks

  • My favorite ABBA tune - thanks!

  • Straight to fav....

  • As a teenager I loved Abba like everyone did. Now that I am older I realize their magnitude and enormous talent. I wish they would have made more albums. They can do anything!

  • gli anni son passati ma gli Abba sono sempre fantastici....

  • Frida looks fantastic on these ocean rocks. Her voice sounds like a cold christmas evening that happend a long time ago, with sad and happy memories. I love u Frida.

  • Prefer Peirce's version in Mama Mia.

The Structure and Lyrics of the following song seem warm and meaningful therefore to me sounds alot better when they slow it down in Mama Mia.

However still catchy, and i will never stop loving ABBA! =D

  • Definitly my Favorite song by ABBA, so many good memories come when listening and watching this song. Thanks for the post

  • Frida sings so great! She should of sang more solo's!

Frida is the best and awsome singer!

  • Great song.

  • I was surprprised to know this song is actually about a dying relationship. I first heard it in the movie. I think it's one of the most beautiful sences. It worked well to change it like they did! Love ABBA.

  • How ABBA sang this with what was going on is just amazing right there.

  • Amazing song! But sounds very bitter... when I heard this song for the first time in "Mamma Mia" it was a soft and warm song - I like both styles.

  • thats because this song was originally written to herald Benny and Agnetha's divorce. Its all about how they feel at the end of their marriage, where in "mamma mia" its to celebrate marriage. They have changes the lyrics slightly and made it more loving for the film.

  • omg look at Agnetha's face at 1:43

  • What's wrong with it?

  • It's inexpressibly beautiful and full of pain at the same time.

  • this is some awesome song love this to the new film version just love it!

  • i like this song although I like other ABBA songs more than this

  • Never heard this one before...very good.

  • My all time favorite!!

  • A different perspective: having heard this for the first time in the film, it came across as a warm love song between two people who had made their mistakes, hurt each other, gone their separate ways but come together again, wiser after lifes hard knocks. So I was shocked when I heard it here the pain and bitterness hit immediately, even before I read it was actually about a divorce. Amazing what a different rendition can do to the same song - but both versions absolutely spot on.

  • You're right jaywillow. Hearing the two renditions is shocking. Great music is great. Period.

  • i see tears in agnetha s eyes.that makes two of us.what a song.

  • awesome song by ABBA.

THIS IS ABBA GOLD RIGHT HERE!

  • Reminds me of Peggy's Cove , Nova Scotia .

    Diana , N.S. Canada.

  • Ciad Mille Failte :

Love this song , the Ocean and my Red Hair.

  • love this song!

  • muy lind a cancion

  • thats what she's singing.

  • Am i the only person who seems to find it hilarious that it actually has the line "and not too old for sex"?

  • I didn't think of it as hilarious, but I still can't believe that ABBA actually wrote that in a lyric!!!!

  • I think this is their best song, it's just a pity that a lot of people had stop listening to them by this stage.

  • Possibly one of the best pop songs ever recorded. A perfect song-and anybody who ever had his/her heart broken can relate to it. Frida is a world class singer.

  • i love this song :D

  • amazing!!!!

    I still love it!

  • I loved this song in the movie Mamma Mia. It is truly the most beautiful song by Abba on the same level as The Winner Takes It All

  • Ironic how a song about divorce is used as a wedding speech in the film. It's also uncanny how Abba's two songs about divorce be considered their greatest, but I am tempted to agree. Such emotion in Frida's voice, it's overwhelming. I enjoy the Spanish version "No hay a quien culpar" even more...

  • Couldn't agree more. Though as much as I loved the film, it sounded awkward to hear "when all is said and done" as a wedding speech. But if we stop to think about Donna and Sam getting married after all, at their age, it kind of gives some new perspective on the lyrics... I mean, it's just another possibility. I agree it's a song about divorce... but then again, not an "end-of-the-world" divorce, but a "new-life" "here-I-go-again" divorce. With no rush, this time, pretty much like Donna and Sam.

  • I wish i was around for them. they were great! and I never got to see the mama mia movie yet. Has any one one seen it yet? how was it?

  • it was fabulous. I've seen it twice. once in the US once in Germany

  • It's great! I saw it twice too and I'm waiting to buy it in DVD, I love it! When it finishes u have a positive attitude with a big smile and in the mood for dace, like a dancing queen ;o)

  • ICH LIEBE DAS LIED

  • I love Frida's voice in this song :]

  • <='(

  • i can´t imagine how hard it must have been for the girl to sing `when all is said and done` and `the winner takes it all`...and i can´t imagine the suffering that went on there in the groups last few days...i think it´s so sad they broke up like that..always will love abba!! <3

  • Yeah it is. Hard to think of imagine. That is why you hear and see the pain. Mainly the hurt from Agnetha in Winner Takes it all. You can hear the hurt and sadness in Anni-Frid's voice in this track.

I watched an interview with Benny and Bjorn. Bjorn said it was hard but when the group split up they were not going to split for a long time. I laughed cause they have been split for 25 years.

  • "All art is difficoult our no art at all" so now you woundering why I not styding the art off spelling Englich?????

  • lol ;)

  • lol

  • How come Frida has long hair in this video, yet it was during the time when she went for that punk style as seen in the preceding single to this, One of Us?

  • I also wondered how Bjorn doesn't have a beard in "Head Over Heels".

  • Very shortly after this video Frida had her hair cut and right after that they shot the video for Head over Heals. As for Bjorn's beard l don't know it looks as though he was trying for a new look.

  • Love the dirty looks the group cast at each other. Sadly these were probably genuine emotions at this juncture in Abba's career..

  • Bjorn asked Frida if she could do this song knowing it was about her divorse from Benny. She accepted for the well fare of the group. Their songs inspired by life's journeys for all of them. Thats why ABBA is in revival.

  • Thanks for the post. I believe this is one of the best songs ever recorded.

  • I bet they deeply regret not releasing this as a single in Europe. It's got Top 3 written all over it and could well have become their 10th no.1 in Britain.

  • If I were A Critic i would have to say that ABBA sang all their best songs as they were breaking up. I cant imagine how they stayed together so long with the divorces and all, I cant imagine the suffering that went on in the groups last days.

  • Your right, you can hear the pain Frida's voice in this song the same as Agentha singing "The winner takes it all" you can see and hear the pain from both songs.

  • What a surprise for me when this song was in Mamma Mia the movie. It blended in well and Pierce Brosnan did a good job singing the song.

  • Benny and Bjorn will be back with a vengeance with another U.S. concert performance of "Krisitna". For those of you who don't know it check out "Du Masta Finnes" (From the Minnesota concert) and "Guldet Blev Till Sand".

  • So so sad to see them go.

  • I didn't know this song . just since I saw the mamma mia movie and it's 1 of the best ABBA songs in my opinion:-) the movie was great. I cried at the cinema. I saw it 3 times since saturday. and I'm sure I'm gonna go and see it once again

  • love it beyond words.............

  • I have considered myself an ABBA fan for most of my 3 decades of life. And on that note, I have never heard this song before. WOW!!!! This is great!! I always thought "The Winner Takes It All" was an almost melancholy swan song for the group, but this is one is so much more upbeat. Almost optomistic, like "yes, we're drifting apart, but one day, who knows". I can't believe I never heard this until now. Truly a hidden gem. Thank you for this post.

  • Even though I'm more of an Archies freek, this is my favorite ABBA recording (and, ironically, one of their final ones).

    Magnificent!!!

  • Frida at her best. One of the true gems in ABBA repertory. Really strong lyrics and melody, and Frida's voice catched all the sadness of it with power and sheer expression.

  • Fantastic song.Really ABBA is over the rest

  • This song is really beautiful. But it gives us the feeling that abba was really in their final days.

  • love frida's vocal range.

  • its Frida Lyngstad thats her name from abba

  • no you could have a frida song but you can`t beat a Abba song when they are all sing or contributing like Waterloo or Ring Ring or so long(i expect you get it now)

  • Hi, there is some incredible cover, a female soul singer made from this song. Does anyone of you remeber who it was?

  • awesome vid!

  • you are stupid person this song has class

  • the greatest song from abba ever believe me it works

  • I loved this song when it came out 28 years ago, and love it even more this many years later.....wished ABBA had lasted longer then they did.

  • I only discovered Abba this year, and they may as well have recorded this yesterday - it feels so current.

  • i had never set my set my heart in such a place till i experienced you...never will i let it happen again...i was a fool for letting myself be fooled

  • They were awesome

  • do you know this is about benny and fridas divore

  • The Best!! Still brings tears to my eyes.

  • one of my favs

only 15 but still still thihk abba r the best

  • there last song of new material to be release was under attack 1982.thank for the was release as a single 1983 but was an album track from 1977

  • QUESTION: Does anyone know what effect they did to achieve the "echo" / double-voice sound at 1:55 ???

  • [b]Mesmo tendo 18 anos de idade eu Amo ABBA !!!

Even Being 18 Years Old I Love ABBA !!!

    Me Encanta ABBA ...

  • Does anyone know where the scene was filmed with her walking and looking out on the water? Was it in Sweden?

  • should be "When all is SAD and done" since this was probably when they decided to split up. ABBA was and probably is the best group ever.

  • This was one of their last songs. It should have been their last but alas Thank you for the music was.

  • "Thank you for the Music" was recorded long before, though. It was only released as a single very late.

This has to be one of the very best, last or not!

    Thanks for posting, tarantomessina!

  • Sad the irony that ABBA wanted (and still want) privacy so much, but have to live with the knowlwdge that they represent the link between life and music to so many people around the world. I really can't imagine a world of music without ABBA.

  • you can really feel the sadness and remorse in ABBA's songs when they started to end, they even refused a billion dollar offer to reform, all these songs were written from emotion, not money

  • Thank you, I could not have said it better myself! There are people who say their crazy for turning down that kind of money, but there's the old saying: Go out on top, or just go! They did it on their terms and I applaud their decision! Thanks, Jim~

  • Great song, I miss ABBA........

  • There's supposed to be an actual released early version of this video using another longer edit of the song. But it was quickly pulled and re-edited with the version that ended up on the Visitors album. This video was filmed before the album was finished and then One Of Us was released as the 1st single instead.

  • Anni-Frid has a lovely voice.

  • As a U.S.single it peaked at #27 out doing MAMMA MIA,SUPER TROUPER,CHIQUITITA,LAY ALL YOUR LOVE ON ME. I DO,I DO AND HONEY,HONEY also did very well on the U.S. charts also doing better than the 4 singles i mentioned

  • abba is wonderful!

  • You can just hear the saddness in Frida's voice.

  • the intro is very heart warming and i dont know why....nice blending of voices..

  • Anni-frid looks so beautiful in this clip

  • my favorite song in the world... it's just so beautiful... so many levels of meaning... like thankyou for the music... except better, deeper, prettier

  • I want to say that Anni-frid and Agnetha both look very sad in this clip.

  • one of my alltime favourites from abba

frida´s voice is incredible beautiful - i adore her so much.

    thank you for your music

  • is it not the last song abba recorded? if yes, then it´s very sad.

  • It was the last ABBA single to hit the top forty in the United States. Awesome song anyway!

  • Hey! And yes this was the last ever recorded song.

  • No, they recorded and released two singles in 1982. This one was made in 1981.

  • Hey, I wrote that a while back when I was reading all about ABBA and clearly got my wires crossed. I know the last 2 singles, 'The Day Before you Came' and 'Under Attack'. Two of my favourites :-) Thanks!

  • Frida's hair looks so much better here..I don't know why she gone with that Olivia Newton-John circa 1982 hairct...I thought this was Frida's better hair days and that's saying something.

  • this has to be the best abba song!!!!it's performed very well by frida.

  • Almost sacred.

  • this is a beautiful song performed very well

  • I believe this song was played at the end of HBO'S INSIDE THE NFL when sandiego beat miami in the greatest football game ever played! Does anyone remember that?

  • That's very very sad. Considering this song was written for Anni-frid and Benny's divorce.

  • Todo tiene un Final

Everything has an END ...they gave us their music golden forever
