  • the oblivion....

  • The mexican goverment and media are a bunch of hypocrites. All this new fuss about the hunger in la Sierra is nothing but a political strategy (2012); my greatest fear is that after the presidential election is over, the goverment will stop sending supplies to such remote places, where ppll have been dying of hunger for decades, Heck, hundred of raramuris dont have any kind of legal document, not even birth certificates. They r strangers in their own land, and whats worse...

  • Amen to that Jaime . you couldnt put it any better..

  • I believe Michelle will develop her desired characteristics by the time her adventure in the Copper Canyon comes to an end.

  • such a beautiful language

  • Thank everyone who contributed to the internet, the computer and people who create beautiful and relevant material like this.

  • If you dont make a perfectly round toritlla, you're not a real woman!!!... thats exactly what my grandmother used to say all the time, ,,,, was always hard for me to make one like it.... ...oval is nice!!!... rectangle shape tortiall is ART!....

  • "Believe that if you can't make a perfectly round tortilla you're not a real woman."

I think this tribe is trollin' the BBC

  • I dont really see anything tribal about this tribe. They wear regular clothes, live in a house with flooring, and I see a TV in the background at 9:42??

  • @JonaBay The Rarámuri do not live in complete isolation any longer. They retain most of their ancient traditions, but change has been coming slowly and steadily. Even so, their older lifestyle might be more practical given the natural environment in which they live. It's pretty harsh in the Copper Canyon, so things that civilized man would consider indispensable are actual luxuries among the Rarámuri.

  • "Born to run" brought me here.

  • DOUBLE RAINBOW WHAT DOES IT MEAN

  • wtg bear grylls, he keeps me in touch with the "locals" where he is surviving

  • I'm confused about how they are communicating. I don't think the white lady understands Raramuri and I don't think the Raramuri understand English. But I don't hear the interpreter; if there is one. But how else could they speak to each other..? I'd also like to know if the interpreter is speaking in Raramuri or in Spanish? A lot of Raramuri don't speak Spanish. I think it is most likely that the interpreter is speaking Raramuri.

  • @chabochi1 They probably cut out the parts of the interpreter so that we don't have to listen to it every time (they give us subtitles instead anyway), and so then they can also add other stuff in rather than take up video time with interpretations. If they left in the interpretations, they wouldn't have needed to put subtitles either, which are quicker.

  • @Nicole3900 ahh, yeah, i noticed as the credits were rolling in the last segment that the names of the translators were given.

  • My tortillas always come out in the shape of texas.

  • THIS IS AMAZING! Thanks so much for posting this it's so so interesting.

  • Westerners don't understand the way of thinking of these native people's. To her, the fact she wasn't embraced right away was a sign of hostility, to them, it was there way of just being and understanding actions are more important to simple words.

  • that look on her face when she first arrived xD. She was probably thinking "what the fuck did I get myself into!" /nervous smile
