I have this video card and it is perfect for gaming. But, your other sytem specifications work together with this card to improve your gaming. maybe a 2.0GHz dual core processor and minimum 2GB ram in addition to the 9800GT 1GB and theres your gaming rig.
I would definately reccomend this card for its gaming performance and reasonable price.
