smoother and safer is fine. But they took out all the lights n stuff from the original one which made it fun. The music was a bad addition. It did not need music on board music at all.
Exciting is more for the big roller coasters. Its perfect for California Screamin'. But Disney doesnt do that, except the few to the few thrilling roller coasters it has, like California Screamin. All of their rides take you into some sort of world of its own. The older space mountain did that. It made you feel like you were in space. Not the new one (unless the new one that I went on was the Rockin Space Mountain they had going for a while).

I will agree though, I thought rockin space mountain sucked. Its simply a lame attempt by Disney to be "cool" and "hip". The regular version is much better.

Best ride ever. Well worth the hour or more wait.

i road at night time and it was SOOO pretty :D

I rode on tht ride and i was only 9 and it was freakin AWSOME i luved it but the problem was it took 3 hours in the line

First off, what lights?
Second, the music adds quite a bit to the ride. It makes it a whole lot more exciting.
