Dont fly unless your job requires it or of course a sick family member or something. And even then, try to drive instead. Same with youtube and its wmg music copyright bull. One million on the watch list yet TSA has never caught a terrorist and they blame the airlines?

In my state a 13 year old ended up on the watch list. His family were pretty fortunate so they did a lot of traveling.

After TSA put the boy on the list, him and his family went through such hell at the airports that they just stopped flying. Years later, as an adult, he is still on the list.

TSA shouldn't even be involved in making the list.

i found out i was on this list when i was 16. TSA is probably taking lots of money away from the airlines due to their illegitimate procedures . now that i dont have to fly all the time i drive everywhere to avoid this crap.

Everyone has social security documents. If they had the birthdate entered into the TSA system along with the address city and state and the airline could confirm the credit card info. All ti would take is having IT fix the system and then you can be cleared. The Advanced Passenger Information should work to clear the people of f the list.

It was all a set up so there would be an event the media could hype and then there would be justification for DHS to bring in the body scanners. The company that makes them is called Rapiscan and they are represented by a consulting firm called the Chertoff Group headed by former DHS Chief Micheal Chertoff. He and his company will makes millions from this.

The reporting here fails to address one big question: when booking a ticket, agents collect your date of birth. The name AND the date of birth are supposedly what they use. What about the date of birth? If they are not using that for matching people to the watch list, why do they collect it?
