******CONTINUED******Screen, and click it, then locate where it should say something like this "Turn UPnP on" with a check box next to it. MAKE SURE IT IS SELECTED TO BE ON. Last thing to do which should be pretty self explanitory is to go to WAN Setup, and make sure your NAT type is selected to be open and not secured..... click your start bar, in the search at the bottom type in cmd. click enter to load command prompt. Once thats done type in ipconfig. locate the IPv4 address. That is what you enter into your server ip address. NOT 20........ you also have to open/foward port 53 which is TCP/UDP, and port 80 which is TCP. Also to make sure you dont have that annoying nat problem anymore, also trigger ports 3074, and 88, same types, etc. One last thing that would also help alot.... Locate UPnP on the left side of

@hyperdrivegamer Same problem I went to services under content filtering. Was the same thing apart from didn't allow me to set the IP address but was still able to open the ports.

@hyperdrivegamer What I did was go to services under content filtering then add custom service and set up the Xbox and Xbox-U services as described in the video minus the IP address.

I then went to firewall rules section also under content filtering then on both Outbound and Inbound clicked add service and selected Xbox from the drop down menu and add the XBox service when doing it on outbound make sure it is set to allow. Repeat for Xbox-U.

well i have a rangemax 824 router it was hook up to my verzion dsl modem their phone tech reconfigured the router through  him controling my computer from his computer. he went to the setup blue page change many numbers for the router. but we had a storm knock off everything. now netgear wanna charge me$60-$100 to have their tech do it can you help me

@ghostface804 yeah, turn off upnp, do port forwarding and then turn it on again.

another way to fix it is to do the following, bridge the wired and wireless connections on laptop and run an ethernet cable through to the xbox and laptop. wired connection then :)

I have a great NetGear Wireless Router [WNR2OOO].

It works great with my desktop, my Vaio notebook, my printer, and my PS3.

But my Xbox36O just has to have a problem with it. My Xbox just gets disconnected from XboxLIVE at random times very often. It's been happening for along time and it's very annoying.

If you really want to solve this problem, im assuming you all have wireless-G routers.

Then buy a wireless-N router if you read the back wireless G doesn't allow for online gaming. I had this same issue and it was solved straight away. I advise you get a WNR2000 its one of the cheapeat but really effective

Instead of going through the process he did...go to the same website he's at and under wireless settings you'll see Encryption (WEP) Key and under that it'll have a little box for you to type in the WEP phrase which you can get from your provider and type it in where it says WEP PassPhrase and hit generate. I used the first Key it gave me and put it in on my xbox and it worked perfectly.

What if I connected my Xbox 360 to my PC (connected to a wireless adapter) with an ethernet cable? Do I send the port to my computer which might go through to my xbox 360 but with experimentation, I keep failing to open my NAT. And everytime I put in my 360's ip address, when i add a custom service, i get no results. Maybe its because i have my basic settings on my xbox 360 to Automatic. Think i can get any help here?
