about 30 years time? Not everyone could do that. We in the West sure made a dire mistake supporting him and letting Rhodesia fall. Sure, it wasn't a perfect country but they would probably be much further along today if he wasn't in power.
What makes it worse is that it does not look like a mistake, but rather a deliberate, calculated decision. How can you otherwise explain that the same thing is being repeated in South Africa. I have little doubt that for world leaders it was and still absolutely clear where South Africa is going to and what it is going to look like in 10-20 years and yet they do not intervene. The only conclusion that comes to mind is that the plan is to let it fail. But why?

Znaika1 When one reads comments like the one you write, it sends a lot of question marks especially when MSNBC TV stated tonight about Assassination Death Squads sent to kill in 10 International countries. That is extremely frightful. Why would you write such hateful comments against PM Tsvangirai who has just lost his wife? Why attack Mugabe who has nothing to do with this accident too? That comment definitely is VERY Toxic and worrisome, when INTERNATIONAL ASSASSINS are said to be active NOW!
"Why would you write such hateful comments against PM Tsvangirai"
I have never written hateful comments against Tsvangirai or else show me where I did. Mugabe and ZANU-PF is a different story. If Mugabe does not die soon, he will get an arrest warrant from International Criminal Court in Hague. Just like Sudanese president received it recently. Then it will take some time to arrest him, but in the end it will be done, same as in Karadzic or Milosevic cases. Just a matter of time. Inevitable.

Zanaika1 The ENEMIES of the unity of Tsvangirai and Mugabe are the ones who did it, so that MORE CHAOS would prevail! The plan was meant to look as if MUGABE did it, and then those who want to RAID ZIMBABWE illegally again after the notorious SATANIC SANCTIONS, would find good reasons to ATTACK Zimbabwe! Mugabe had NOTHING to do with it! Either it is NATURAL cause, or due to "INTERNATIONAL ASSASSINS" who have continued to kill MANY AFRICANS like SAMORA MACHEL! We still remember!!
You, my friend. Are incredibly brainwashed or stupid. Zimbabwe has nothing left to loot except the palace of Mugabe himself. He and his ZANU-PF party have released ads blatantly threatening death to anyone who opposed them, saying at the end "vote ZANU-PF and LIVE!" in addition to the fact that Mugabe has shown his willingness to bomb newspapers, and has a previous record of intimidation and frankly open war against other parties, Mugabe is clearly the culprit.
Once again, specifically for those who still does not get it: there are no sanctions against ordinary Zimbabweans. They can freely travel where they want. Compare it with sanctions against Rhodesia: Rhodesian passport has not been recognised by any country except SA. There are no sanctions against fair Zimbabwean businesses; they can freely export or import products. Compare it with sanctions on Rhodesia: all exports to Rhodesia and almost all imports have been fully banned by UN resolution.
There are targeted sanctions against about 200 corrupt ZANU and government officials and their businesses. And even these sanctions are not UN endorsed. They are only by US and EU countries. This is why ZANU thieves, line Grace Mugabe can still travel to China and other countries. The poverty in Zimbabwe is not because of 'sanctions' that do not affect absolute majority of the people, but because ZANU destroyed private businesses and forced most of educated, productive people out of the country.

No, its not strange. And, yes, it could very well have been an accident. But given who's in charge of that country with a human rights record not unlike Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong-il, its not difficult to find cruel intent where Mugabe is concerned, is it not?
That is a very busy road where the accident took place.. Do you not find it strange that the truck crashed into Tsvangirai's car, missing both the escort vehicles? And why were the police at the scene so quickly, stealing briefcases and cellphones from the Land Cruiser? And why was a senior MDC official banned from taking photo's at the scene?
All very strange to me, given Mugabe's notoriety...

Accident huh. Zimbabwe sure has become an accident prone nation since Bob has been running the show. Accidents counting votes, accidental injuries and deaths, accidently turning the bread basket of Africa into a basket case. So many accidents.
Accident? It is just as accidental as would be a missile hitting Mugabe's motorcade.
Car accidents are a famous tool of a political murder in Zimbabwe. Mugabe's ZANU rival Tongogara was killed in a car crash. During election campaign of 1990 ZANU went as far as broadcasting a video clip on the national TV that showed a gruesome car accident. "This is the one way to die" - said the voice of the narrator, "Don't commit suicide, vote ZANU-PF and live".
Mugabe has done it again, let me take you back to January this year, Elliot Manyika died under such circumstances, so did other political guru's such as Border Gezi, Movan Mahchi and several army generals who were accused of plottind a coup against Bob. Certain things about this accident dont add up, people we are talking about the prime ministers entourage here not some ordinary civilian.
You miss the point. You are mentioning a silly distraction.
Tsvangirai is the last best hope for Zimbabwe. Anyone with an ounce of humanity knows this in their heart.
Robert Mugabe is a career criminal who must go.
If it was not for the political establishment in South Africa, who have supported this psychopathic demagogue through rigged elections, political assassinations, and gross ineptness, Zimbabwe would be prosperous and free today.

My grandma told me when I was a boy to avoid weakminded people who were quick to blame racism for their own genetic shortcommings and predisposition towards violence. I have paid my respect and now I will be going. Gentlemen.

Certain things about this accident dont add up, people we are talking about the prime ministers entourage here not some ordinary civilian.

is that a serious question? Mugabe paid for the "accident", you should catch up with current events...

It was a US / Nato truck that killed him !!!
oceanbound222 2 years ago
Now how is that possible since you would percieve Tsvangirai of being a US "puppet"?

You miss the point. You are mentioning a silly distraction.
Tsvangirai is the last best hope for Zimbabwe. Anyone with an ounce of humanity knows this in their heart.
Robert Mugabe is a career criminal who must go.
If it was not for the political establishment in South Africa, who have supported this psychopathic demagogue through rigged elections, political assassinations, and gross ineptness, Zimbabwe would be prosperous and free today.
This is just the latest assassination attempt..
