You can blast the tentacles out of the way with rockets. This will cut a lot off of your time. I did this single player in 2:37

ur doing it all wrong

u need to shoot the things on the roof with flame rounds and u need to use ur rocket to kill the boss at the end other than that nice run

yea, it is faster to shoot through. (its afraid of fire grenades)

i ran through it on proffesional in 2:25 its possable to cut alot of time off their run.

sort of, the game even scales according to how you're doing - if you get hit a lot and so on the enemies will actually move slower and take longer to attack, even more so on amateur

That doesn't make the game "really easy" though. You can still lose if you play sloppily during rail shooting sequences (chapter 2-3) or fighting bosses.

nice to see someone actually playing this game on the PS3 rather than the Xbox. mainly all the youtube videos of Resident Evil 5 are Xbox

Shooting the tentacles blocking your path can shave a few seconds off of your time for the level. I ended up getting a 2:39 WITH getting hit by the enemies laying on the ground when the Duvalia comes out.
