I love Star Fox, but Star Fox Adventures and Assault really disappointed me! The story was kind of cartoony, but I guess that's to be expected, for both of them, and I found them way too easy! Star Fox has become a space opera with furries!! Still one of my favourite game series ever though, it could've been so much more!

@CosmicJellyfish Yes indeed, they really did O_o. I guess Star Fox will always be goofy, but one of the most goofy things about it is how it is aimed at kids. The original game was so hard, and even the newer ones require some pretty good hand-eye coordination! And spaceships with lasers blowing the living crap out of the enemy? That's real kiddie! Silly Star Fox!

@Kabukita Actually, what I've heard and read, Adventures actually IS what became of Dinosaur Planet. Nintendo just tweaked the story and characters a little to get Fox and the crew into the game.

ive actually played and beatn star fox 2 for snes, if you look hard enough online for it you can find it as a rom and find the special snes9x program you have to have to run it. plus i have the watch with me right now does anyone know how much that is worth?

Well, at least the first boss, but they should include something new

The downfull came when the Gamecube was released.

When they changed the plane completely to match realtime 3D I think the series went down the shitters.

Yeah, SF64 the plane was changed a bit but not to the extent that it was going to make the series crap.

Since the forth game the plane looked very different and the games themselves have declined in quality also.

It is still incredible fun, and the most immersive and hi-tech sci fi game of the 90's. For 1997, its graphics, animation and controls were totally out of this world. Next to Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time, yes, it would be my favourite N64 game.

It's kinda funny how alot of StarFox developments are carried over a system... StarFox2 (SNES) become Starfox64 (N64) and Dinosaur Planet started production as a N64 game but transferred over the GameCube.

Anyway this series just ROCKS, It's sad to see it doesn't get the mainstream attention of Nintendo... I mean... how much Mario-based games can one really play?

StarFox64 had the best story & drama. It felt like you were in the cockpit flying across the galaxy, saving worlds and avenging pops.

Personally I think it deserves a re-make, or revisit the story line with greater depth. Why? because without a doubt Andross was the best StarFox villain...

Starfox 64 is a great classic, but Assault is my number one fav. I'd play hours on it! Especially multiplayer, where I always was Wolf. Wolf owns. And this series owns.

Dinosaur planet was originally a N64 title, yes. It was later that the SF characters were added in, though.

I know something about that. Here's the dirt I got.

First, like Nirual86 said, it was originally a standalone N64 game, and its official name was, again, going to be 'Dinosaur Planet'. Second, Krystal was supposed to be the main character, and was originally a cat. Finally, rumors were abound that it was going to be scrapped until Rare decided to pick up on it and remake it for the Gamecube.

I also had a working video clip of it somewhere, but I lost it... :(

to be honest..personally i liked Asault the best i mean jumping of your Arwing shooting down some Aperoids with your blaster and Rocket Launcher and then you jump in your Landmaster and Crush all the aperoids before you ..what more can you ask for
