@hydecow87 you have to push [x-o] - [#-o] togethet at ones. You will have to keybind them. He will first do a small spin, and then grab the enemy. pretty simple beginning. This combo is extremely hard, but after a 30min. practise, i was able to do 6 throws in a row....

I love using King, so far his ONLY weakness I've seen is gettin the start off on a combo like this, I can only do the first 4 grabs on this combo so far, but I've used King for so long hes jsut naturally my favorite, but yeah online its sometimes hard to get a start on the Cobra Clutch jsut because so many ppl are smart to stay away from King when he starts grabbing lol

You can add another throw to the end of this combo, the screwdriver. Also, if you decide to set the shoulder buttons like this video suggests then you can mash out the entire combo about 80% of the time. Set both punches to a r1 and both kicks to r2. To do it, start the cobra clutch and press both r2+r1 until the second move starts up, then simply rotate between r2 and r1 rapidly.

you can mash all buttons and it will work at the Arcades on Console it does require a bit of skill to do the 8throw

Go to practise mode, Pause it and then click on the command list then scroll down until you see mexican magma drive 2 and then study it.

I JUST learned how to do this a minute ago without using shoulder buttons. It's not that hard at all. Shoulder buttons would be negligibly easier once you realize that you can do buffer into next combinations by keeping some buttons held down for the next parts of the sequence. For Reverse Special Stretch Bomb, just press 1+2, then hold down 1, then hold 2, then hold 4. You press square, triangle, then circle, without letting any of the buttons go. YOu can do stuff like that to make it easier

Anyway, the point is to use the shoulder buttons because they are available. Tekken is a game that uses too many combinations and thus shoulder buttons are a great help for these problems.

True. the L and R buttons are there for added convenience in gameplay. It is quite inconvenient to do multi throws in SMALL buttons alone, not to mention you also have to hold the controller so it won't fall of your hand. You won't experience any of these problems in a real arcade.

but were talking about portable and home console here. also for the arcade, the buttons are much more sensitive and easier to reach with 4 fingers so its not really a big deal when trying to pull of throw combo like king's.

A Better Suggestion:

R1 = left + right punch

R2 = left + Right kick

Why would i bother to put it at L1 or L2? Better reserve the left buttons for 1+4, and 2+3 which is rarely used for some characters.

Buffering is doing a move while the animation of the current move is playing. Sort of like queing the next move. It is a necessary skill for doing kings multi's. Other moves can be buffered too.  i.e. jab+giant swing= f,1,hcf,1. If done quick enough, the giant swing will come out right after the jab. If I have the move wrong someone will flame me, no doubt. However, the concept is right.

I know how to buffer these moves nicely. A few require some button skill, but most of these can be buffered easily. I admit it wasn't easy at first, but once I figured out the buffer system, it became 10 times easier! Use the buffer system, it works! If any newcomer out there wants to know how to get better, ask just about any Tekken pro and they'll tell you they use the buffer system. This combo is near impossible to pull off without buffering, unless you are very accurate with button input.

by the way bart2k200 you say tekken lacks realism well i disagree as each button is assigned to a limb for example square will alway be there left hand, x will be left leg and so on. Also every character have a fighter style that can be done in real life for example off wikipedia "the Tekken games have been highly popular with the martial arts community due to moves of the fighters being close to the actual style of fighting."
