  • she makes singing look so easy! i'm doing a Oliver Call Back tomorrow, and she just breezes through these songs! They are actually quite hard to sing! :S

  • Incredible.

  • who are the stupid people who disliked this?

  • She could sing the phone book and due amazing

  • Almost perfect, the only wrong note was at 3:23 where she hit an F# instead of a G#

  • Bravo :)

  • Well performed, but I think it makes the most impact, at least to me, when sung by a little boy wishing for his mother. (Oliver)

  • It's been a while since I listened to this video. What strikes me this time is the incredibly beautiful orchestration -- wonderful.

  • Have any other singers been the voice of two Disney Princesses? Because I think that is almost as great of an honour as a tony.

  • i love you lea salonga! simula pik pak boom! HAHA. :)))) IDOL kita! super~!

  • I am convinced that Lea could sing any song. Amazing.

  • Oh man! She is just awesome! Though I have a teacher that is good too, but I am taking voice classes and I have to sing the first part "Where is love" My teacher said that this is the best one for me to listen to... I love it! Thank you for posting it!

  • so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Classsic of all times!

  • Soooo good!!!

  • I looove this song! I did it as a solo for Solo/Ensemble. :D

  • Lea should have sung Where Is Love on a higher key. It sounds better when it's sung high. Still, she's a fab singer!

  • My goodness. Absolutely lovely.

  • that doesnt make sense, shes singing about her mother!!!

  • Well, excuuuuuuuuuuse me!

It makes sense if she's singing about another female other than her mother, though.

  • @logansGT Signers usually change the pronoun of who they're singing about to the gender of their choice, thats what I do as a gay man when singing this song.

  • @rainbowjo1 - Well, then all I can say is.....cuntgratulations to you and your significant other (*_~)

  • Bagofants you have no idea, There is not 1 nasel note, its prenounciation. and you can hear all note coming from deep diaphragm control

  • what is the highest note in the song "as long as he needs me"?

  • In this version, she sings a C sharp. In the stage version it's a C.

  • could she seriously get any better..

  • I guess she will be a great Nancy if she stars in Oliver

  • Wonderful. Great voice and a great orchestra. Thank you.

  • Very excellent. Love this song (Where is Love) is also great by Tony Bennett. Thanks.

  • she sings like a bird in the tree...really very very smart and lovely :-)

  • What a beautiful voice.

  • whats with the gritting of her teeth in as long as he needs me, Nancy isnt supposed to be angry. Amazing voice though

  • Determination in the face of adversity.

  • I adore Lea! I was lucky enough to see her reprise her role as Kim on Broadway and was blown away by how her oice has changed.

  • did anyone saw the movie oliver twist?

  • I have, and it is a beautiful movie. I actually own it so I watch it every so often.

  • Has anyone seen the movie Oliver Twist?

    Good English grammer!

  • Best movie ever! I was in the musical!!

  • absolutely beautiful <3

  • Shes abz amasinggg !! i wish i could sing like that !

  • jasmine has to sing this in aladdin, the pantomine we're doin 4 xmas. she sings it wen all tells her he loves her!

i play suzi wu in it!

  • she has the best voice, but i find her music choices a bit degrading for such beautiful talent. i mean yeah the broadway stuff was amazing but the stuff she picks for her albumns could be soo much better. the singing was impeccable but the actual songs are only okish.

  • i know what you mean, sometimes I think bout that too..pero baka it's lea's own personal taste for her albums, her songs probably speak about her as a person....

  • i think the songs she picked are very classy

  • she has a great voice but As Long As He Needs Me was pretty boring.

  • theres many much better renditions of as long as he needs me around,i dont think she was particularley amazing.however where is love was stunning.....maybe because she seems quite inocent?

  • I like Melinda Doolittle's version of As Long as he Needs Me.

  • she is awsome!

  • amazing best version i've heard

  • Wonderful voice and orchestra. Favorite songs

  • i've always known lea was a good singer, but as long as he needs me gave me new appreciation for her talents...WOW!!!

  • you go girl. perfect!!!!!

  • too american, the song is cockney!

  • so what? 4 some ppl it's easier to not sing it the way it's supposed to be sung.

some1 tell me if what i just said makes even the tiniest but of sense.

  • it made perfect sence... well to me it did lol

  • lea actually sang as long as he needs me in a very good cockney accent.i should know, i'm from london.

also, her rendition of where is love was nearly perfect if you compare it to the american produced musical oliver!

all that aside, the whole thing was perfect.(I've been forced to watch this musical a million times)

  • Lea spoke with an English accent in her younger years

  • looooove it!

  • favorite broadway vocalist. wondrous.

  • Damn... Beautiful

  • I actually saw her in les mis first... then i came across this and i realized who it was! i absolutely love her voice and this song

  • I just saw her as Fantine in Les Mis - I thought she was wonderful. I didn't know she was a recording artist as well... I hope to see her perform again one day. Amazing talent!!

  • Have another one, Whiskey !!!

  • Wow she sucks...

  • whoa, she does not suck!

  • you're the one who sucks, man... She has a beautiful voice!!

  • such power, such passion, awesome!!

  • she's an amazing singer

im a singer myself - not professional of course (too young) and i like looking out for inspiration

    shes an idol!

gorgeous voice and she really feels it not just sings it

  • you can never be too young to be a professional singer. lea proved that by releasingher first album at the age of 10.

  • You absolutely can be too young. Lea is one of the few who actually have such a richness to her voice at a young age. Most young artists today have no business releasing albums until they have more training and their voices are more mature

  • lea isn't the only child star to make it in the industry. just look at the jackson 5, the osmonds , and others who have made their name from such a young age.

I admit that some of these people may end up a bit fucked in the head, but there are more people who make a lasting career in the music industry from a young age, and they turn out to be good people.

    it all depends on upbringing.

  • :D she's back on broadway! she's replacing Daphne Rubin-Vega as Fantine. Whoo! Roadtrip anyone?

  • angelical!

  • I can tell by her face that she was really feeling As Long As He Needs Me when she sang it!! It's impossible to sing this song well w/o putting yourself in that position!! BRAVO!!!!!! ; )

  • i love it ... she's the best =)

  • Woow As Long As He Needs Me sent shivers down my spine.

Lea is unbeatable. Except I revere Ruthie Henshall up there as well..

  • She sings "where is love" so beautifully... She sang this same song on her very first album entitled Small Voice. i think she was about eight or nine years old when she recorded it. i actually have the record and i wish i could share it with you so you can hear it, but i have no idea how to transfer music from a record album to a CD... =(

  • OMGSH This is amazing -- she has such a strong voice. Thanks for posting

  • one of my fave performances in her broadway concert. do you have someone to watch over me?

  • omfg!! she is AWSUM!!!! i am nancy in a play nd i aint 1/2 asw gwd as her!! she is my new inspiration1!

  • wow, she's got amazing control over her voice

  • as long as he needs me is boss shes puttin on an accent to the song an i love it

  • mur i want mur of lea on you tube lol

  • WOW. This brother(conductor/musical director) and sister(singer) team are full of talents, and the scary thing they are getting better and better, yet so humble.

    Thanks for posting.

  • where did you find this?

  • OMG! This rocks my socks! Love Lea <3
