The thought of socialized medicine in the US really concerns me. I've seen socialized medicine first hand in South American and will do just about anything to avoid it ever taking hold here.
I am a pharmacist and I see everyday the failures of our inferior private insurance practices and the realities of the conflict of interest between profit and healthcare. I disagree with your arguments whole heartedly.
He lost me at "Deal with this problem intelligently" and going on and on about bipartisan ship and talking in such a fluffy way. He addresses how he wants to talk about it in direct terms yet indrectly talks about talking about it directly...
We've had choice in health care, we've had competition. We have all these different companies, and all of these different hospitals, yet prices are still insane.
I don't get what he thinks is so wrong with cheap, fair, and optional. He can buy his own.
