ugh i thought u had yo use tranqs on both phases. i was doin new game plus(yes you can get the emblem on new +) and i was usin the tranq pistol and the tranq shots from the twin barrel. god it sucked but atleast the beauty loses all pshyce from 3 twin barrel tranq shots so at least that was done quick.(just incase if anyone does not know how to do new + just save a file with the finished game then load it and it will ask u to pick a diff. , choose it and then u get your old weaps from MK II)

@thecoolerstinger You gotta tranq her and all the other bosses in the beast form to unlock the solar gun. You just gotta tranq her in the beauty form to get big boss rank. There's no need to tranq her when she's wearing the armor, you're not killing her in the end of the fight.

@thecoolerstinger You gotta tranq all the four beasts, and the frogs in the battle in the first act too. You can use the tranq gun, the tranq rifle (mosin nagant), stun granades, gas mines, any non-lethal weapon you have. Depending on the difficult you're playing, it's gonna be tough, cause in the boss extreme difficulty you can't buy any non-lethal ammo from Drebin. Just do this and you'll get the solar gun after finishing the game.

I was reading the strat guide, and u can do it over multiple playthrough, as long as u get all 5, u get the solar gun the next time u beat the game after getting all5 of em.

the best way to kill BB once she has come out of her suit is, to get the v-ring, under one of tables, and use it on m4 wid the masterkey shotgun, lie on floor and shoot her with that ammo, it takes her stress meter away in like 5-6 shots, and so much quicker

RPG lol. Killing Laughing Octopus with the Mosin Nagant is quicker. You use more bullets, but cmon, your not sniping much except for Crying Wolf. And even her i heard you can throw a smoke grenade at her and just use 5 stun g's and the fight is over.

Looked at this video just after I fought her for the first time (and a few more times when I died) on Normal... for some reason I couldn't see her in my NV during certain hiding sequences. But I managed to tranq her Beast form during this fight with the Mosin Nagant. =D

However, the "beauties," or the unarmored, human version of the bosses do count as kills For the "statues" for the solar gun, though, you need to take down the beasts in a non-lethal fashion, but it doesn't have to be the same run as a Big Boss Emblem run... unless you really like to challenge yourself, with the ammo limitations and all :P.

if you aren't doing a naked run and a subsequent playthrough get right in front of her, and aim towards her face with the rail gun, charge it and when you you hear the little beep right after its fully charged Fire! Even on extreme it should take nearly 1/3 to 1/2 of her health off on the first hit. Just use the rail gun when she camoflauges and if you have it, the 50 cal when she's visible between her attacks and she'll be toast in no time!

if your not worried about time hide under a bed and shoot her she rarely can hit you. those bombs do little damage and you can recover easily. at least she wont land on your head this way

So I had some problems with the FROG battle. Sometimes all the FROGS didn't get hit by the first SGMine so it messed up the sequence. I decided to put a SG Satchel down then an SGMine and I fired off the Sactchel if all of them didn't get knocked out by the mine.

The SGMine stradegy sucks anyway, just hide behind the walls and use the Cardboard box to shoot them with the MK.2. It's easier than this.

I know what you mean about Octopus. She scared the hell out of me during my first run and even now. I still find her to be the hardest boss in the game cause I get so jumpy since its so small. I just unloaded all my ammo on her.
