I saw Vault 106 on my way to Arefu to deliver Lucy West's message... I didn't have followers, I think I had a hunting rifle, though. I didn't encounter a deathclaw, I took a random route the OTHER way around Vault 101 and completely avoided it. I still got shot at by some raiders though. :D

We all know that there is vault 106 and vault 101 and i think there is a other one when i was hunting out in the open i seen a peice of paper saying Vault 87 and i said to my self WTF? i thought it was a vault so im asking any of you guys is it a vault or is it a fake???

@bioware425 Vault 87 is a vault in the west of the map, it is accessible only through the Lamplight Caverns though as a nuke hit the entrance and it goes up to over 3000 rad/sec :/ you go there in the main storyline. You can rescue fawkes from the vault and get him as a follower after the next mission if you have good karma. So uh yeh, it exists.

That's why I just loooove this game. You can play it numerous times and you'll never find 2 identical situations. The 1st time I've played it I've taken a left turn just after exiting Vault 101. I was just walking and bumped into Vault 106 by accident... and without any enemies around except some raiders. I guess I got lucky :)
