For the average civilian like myself, the Barrett is plenty for me to handle. The Cheytac is truly for the expert marksman at ultra-long distances (2500 meters).
The ballistics simply dominate over the 50 BMG at these distances.
I would love to own a Cheytac for novelty purposes though!

nice grouping at 1000 yards, but the Cheytac .408 would have punched right through that steel. The Barrett is bad ass for sure, just not as good.
