I miss them both yet I know they're guarding Heaven's gate now. I hope they're the ones who got to personally turn Bin Laden away and send him on his way to hell.

visited the veterans cemetery today here in spokane wa i was shocked surprised and glad not to see any names on those stones that were under the age of fifty, i know that there are a bunch who died for our countries, but i wish we lived in a world where mothers and fathers didnt have to bury there sons and daughters. If you dont support war thats ok but please support our troops they mean everything to us and it is because of them that we are aloud our opinions.

I enlisted into the Army when I turned 18. I wish I could be home for Christmas but somebody has to do this job and I rather have it be me than my future kids.

I got through the first phase of Basic with the USMC at MCRD San Diego 2bn Fox Co. Plt 2121, before i was medically discharged. I got home and a doctor told me there was nothing wrong, so as soon as i am cleared I am headed back if the Marines will let me. If not then i will try another branch cause i love this country and want to serve it. Thank you to all those serving right now and those who paid the ultimate price. God bless all of you and the USA

His courage, strength, dignity affected everyone who knew, worked and served to save him. This song could have been written for him.

I first heard this song last year on sirus satelite radio. It made me cry, I listened to it every day that i can. and it still makes me cry. when i was little I wanted to be in the military. It is my hope that if these soldiers are willing to fight enemies in other countries, they should become American police officers when they return, as we statistically need more protection from our fellow citizens then Islamic terrorists. Gangs, drunk drivers, and other agressive people injure and kill tens of thousands of Americans in our communities every year.

He was worried about coming home and not having a big welcome. He got the welcome home he deserved, just not in the way that anyone wanted.

I hope to be an enlisted soldier this time next year. Getting my GED sometime next month, and signing up in November. Its my 18th birthday present. I hope to serve this country, protect our interests, and keep our people safe from attacks like 9/11.
Thanks to all the soldiers that keep us safe from those that would see to do us harm.

Wow its crazy cause i used to wear number nineteen on my back i didnt join the marine i joined the navy but i work with the marine i am right there with them cause i am an RP in the navy my job is to protect the man that brings God to the marines, sailors, airmen, and soldier. Well this is a great tribute to all the men that serve cause most of us where that boy next door. We fight for the love of our family and country. Come home safe ya,ll

i joined the Marines at 18.
i was deployed to Afghan twice. my older bro was killed over there last year. i saw my friend die and i was shot in the leg.
I joined because i love this country and her people and i dont like it when she is attacked or when insurgents kill the ones i love.

I served at Brooke Army Medical Center where many of the most severely injured were sent , and will always remember Jonathan Benson, a young Marine who lost a valiant fight for his life. His courage, strength, dignity affected everyone who knew, worked and served to save him. This song could have been written for him.

My cousin Just got home from being Afganistan with the marines for 1 year and my family couldnt be happier for him.. and the reason he joined the marines was because of the September 11th attacks on the world trade centers.

I'm an Irishman who's after enlisting to the Irish Defense Forces.and my sole reason for this was because of 9/11. That happens to be my brothers birthday as well. I was twelve that day and, funnily enough, I'm 19 now.
To all U.S Marine giving life and limb for those close to them, know that you have brother in arms who supports you all the way.

I'm proud of my family's military history as well, that's why I joined and I'm doing it. I'm a Marine getting ready to head over. My brother is a grunt who's been over twice and getting ready to go again. So, my point is, that it doesn't matter what your family does unless you keep it up and do it as well.

My dad was in the Marines did 4 and out when the twin towers went down he wanted to go back but he was to old so he went a a civilian contractor more (dangerous then being in the millitary)he did 9 months of that took e I.E.D.S and countless bullets to the truck he was driving the 3rd I.E.D. that went off under his truck mabe him permanantly disabled.this is a great vidoe and thank you to those who server..my brother also did 2 tours in Iraq,afgan and kawait as a Marine he just finished his 4yrs

I first heard this song last year on sirus satelite radio. It made me cry, I listened to it every day that i can. and it still makes me cry. when i was little I wanted to be in the military. A little because my dad was in the airforce. And I was a daddy's girl. He was in d shield/storm. I was only two, but I was still teriffied. Everytime I see someone in uniform, I just wana cry and give them a big hug. I've lost 2 old friends in Iraq. It still hurts. but I just wana thank everoyone. I love you

i love this song. my brother is in the army so i know how it feels to who ever who has a relative whos in the army or marines. i hate it when my brother leaves for basic and stuff. and i think this song is like a song for our troops and a relief to those who have family in war or about to go to war or is in the marines, and or army, and air force.

You should all check out the song "I was only 19", it has a similar theme to it only it is an Australian song.
You should be able to find it in the related videos thing, make sure you listen to the Redgum version.

It is my hope that if these soldiers are willing to fight enemies in other countries, they should become American police officers when they return, as we statistically need more protection from our fellow citizens then Islamic terrorists. Gangs, drunk drivers, and other agressive people injure and kill tens of thousands of Americans in our communities every year.

I love this song and video so much. I cannot listen to it without being moved to tears though. My boyfriends cousin was just KIA last month in Balad so this really hits home. They were best friends. He was worried about coming home and not having a big welcome. He got the welcome home he deserved, just not in the way that anyone wanted.
I thank God every day that we have people such as him that do what they do to defend our freedoms.

Yall have no idea how much a song like this means to us over here in Iraq. More so for myself. My girlfriend sent me this video...
