  • Patton should turn the volume of his samples down when Bozzio starts soloing. I mean, c'mon.

  • KING BUZZO ON GUITAR????????????????????????

  • I saw Fantomas in '05 doing a similar set. It was excellent. Delirium Cordia is so good.

  • when delirium cordia came out i allways wondered how this would be possible to do it live.i must say that i am impressed how it comes out.this is great.tnx.

  • 1:23 1,2,3,4

  • First time I`ve seen this.This is hard.I vomited.

  • I am naked and jawless

  • WAAH! Dave Lombardo is a great drummer, but Terry Bozzio is a motherfucking beast on the drums.

  • Two words...FUCKING LEGEND...

  • I'm glad I wasn't there other wise they'd have to pry me away from the awesome combo a la Patton/Bozzio.

  • what is it a drums or what?

  • Bozzio was made for this music!!!

  • 6:10=orgasm

  • Hey, i'm gonna sound STUPID, but i'm a Patton collector, and when Lombardo went back to Slayer they used this drummer for a bit (he did different stuff and then i started liking him better, but now they're using the drummer of the Melvins???) this dude is awesome, what has he done? Sorry for the ignorance, but they didn't really talk about him but his kit is insance more-so i like what he did with Fantomas... if you could tell me who he plays with or played

  • @bobethe hey man he played with frank zappa check his part in zappas movie baby snakes on youtube

  • @bobethe He played with Zappa mainly. He also collaborated with various artists. One collab I recount is the one with Korn's 2006 untitled album. Some intense drumming. Are they really using Dale Crover for drumming now?

  • @THEMANOUTOFTHECAVE Christ, KORN? cool he played with Zappa but i thought that dude would have a more extensive metal background, i like how he changed things, yeah, the last FANTOMAS shows i'm aware of Crover played whiich isn't suprising given FANTOMAS/MELVINS big band, but i want this guy back

  • @bobethe You should listen to that Korn record it's actually good. It's a mix of their old styles (Korn, Life is Peachy) and later outputs. The drums are insane and the songwriting is spot on, don't expect a metal record though. About Crover: he's a really great drummer and I'm sure he can handle himself just fine, but I can't see him replacing a monster like Lombardo. I hope he goes back to Fantomas, Slayer (I'm afraid) are starting to get old and repetitive (my opinion).

  • @THEMANOUTOFTHECAVE Slayer is the only great old metal band that is still great BECAUSE they are repetative, but thank God DIABLOIS and GHUA nu metal phase is over, listen to Lombardo's impact, Christ Illusion better and i think WPB is as good as anthing, as my fav South of Heaven, I do love Divine Intervention though... F megadeth and ESPECIALLY Metallica

  • @bobethe My bad, I actually restate my opinions on Slayer. After a listen to their latest and last record, I can say that, while being repetitive (which I realise in this case being NOT a bad thing) still kick fucking ass. With Metallica I completely agree. On Megadeth sorry, I don't. Endgame was a fantastic record and I still think they're one of the best bands out there (except for Dave singing older songs live).

  • Music is organized sound. There are many ways to organize it. It's nobody's problem but your own if you have neither the willingness or mental capacity to attempt to understand it. Uneducated opinions are the worst and least respected.

  • 6.09 start the revolution mind!!

  • Well now, its a good thing that mozart died before this came out, it would be a tragedy for the man who made lacrimosa to hear this noise.

  • @DominatingWeekly Yes, I'm sure he'd be much less repulsed by someone like you speaking on his behalf than he would be by this.

  • @MisterStephen777 well ive never made noise for 9 minutes and called it a song, so as a musician im sure Mozart would spit on this and be thankful people use his brilliant work as a reference of just how terrible some music can be.

  • @DominatingWeekly Uh huh..

  • So welcome to the avant-garde music!!

  • @DIOSANO This is noise, there is no groundbreaking thought, it is just noise protected by pretentious people.

  • @DominatingWeekly I think music needs to be original nowadays. Turn on the radio and you won't hear music, that's just noise too. This type of music is a lot like a thought actually, its random erratic and hard to understand. I just like the technical depth within it to be honest, ever changing. Not going to defend it because I'm not a huge fan of this band but I do understand why people like it.

  • @Nickpatient I agree that music is bland and uninteresting now, but that doesn't mean that random noise is artistic, a deaf child could of thrown this together

  • @DominatingWeekly A deaf child with a good understanding of how music works and how to be in tune and have amazing timing could. :)

  • @DominatingWeekly I don't have the words to express how much of a tasteless douchebag you are.

  • @DominatingWeekly Just because you don't understand it, and it doesn't appeal to you, doesn't mean it's crap. ...and it's could HAVE or the contraction could've, not could of. Sorry, I've just seen this far too many times, not trying to be a dick.

  • @DominatingWeekly i really don't understand how one can say this. i don't want to tell people what to like and what not. But how can you say it's just noise. it would be noise if it was random, and that's exactly what it's not.

  • this is music for me, it's a shame to know people that listen to music like a simple media product

  • i think im actually liking this shit now....a lil bit...tho it is EXTREMELY odd...

  • I think I know why Buzzo was picked to play guitar. He's the only guy loud enough to be heard on stage with this act.

  • Music like a bomb!!

  • Why not? Jazz is supposed to be experimental cutting edge shit - this fits that. I've seen these guys a few times - not with Terry on drums - but when Dave Lombardo plays - him and Mike stare at each other every time there is a whacky time change or some section with no time signature at all - they have an instinctual relationship where they can pull it off live.

  • GREAT PERFORMANCE!!!!

  • one of the best performances ever

  • Fucking Pattons got the Midas touch yo! Everytime i hear Fantomas, i wish i was just like... Tripping BALLS! I've heard that Patton doesnt even "party" though. He's just like already at that leval naturally.... word lol

  • Everybody needs to stop talking about how much of a god mike patton is man his ego might just end up killing him lol

  • Brilliant. On mark. \m/

  • Some of you hip kids are really fucking retarded. Just because the songs dont have a 4/4 verse/chorus/verse/breakdown/chorus structure, everyone playing has to have some involvement with drugs. The biggest bullshit comment in the world. Ever. And the dipshit @wearethenightmare, just because you read somewhere on the net that Dave Lombardo is the original drummer, doesnt mean hes actually in this clip. Be informed before you look like a moron. Helpful life advice.

  • so someone got it wrong, this is Dave Lombardo, not Terry Bozzio

  • @wearethenightmare This is Terry Bozzio.

  • Does anyone know what Mike is using at 4:53 (that chanting effect)?

  • @RufusGuitarist

Lots of Reverbs and chorus effects

  • so badass!!!!!

  • BUZZO BOZZIO PATTON.... The poster children for insanity.

  • i love the deep choir part, epic and beautiful

  • Whats that song that starts at :57?

  • @anastu that's track #6 from Suspended Animation. It's called "Sorry Charlie Day (USA) Plan Your Epitaph Day (USA)"

  • i just wish parts of Suspended Animation could last longer, and solidify the flow and mood. alas, i know this defeats the purpose of the album really, but still, there are some beautiful parts that are cut short by insanity!

    delerium live! nice one

  • Вы просто тупые недалекие уроды, которые нихера не понимают.

  • Comment removed

  • I'd hate be one to have to mic that kit.

  • in my opinion mr bungle is a little bit influenced by frank zappa, for example the beginning of "goodbye sober day" sounds a lot like zappa

    great vid

  • Bungle is over :(

    Thank god fantomas is around.

  • dont worry its written in the ruins that they will come back

  • king buzzo!!!!

  • bozzio?! and patton?! together?! *orgasm*

  • If you don't like Fantomas...then you hate America. To go even further, if you don't like Fantomas, you ARE a terrorist...NO...you ARE Osama Bin Laden!

  • ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahhaha

  • yeah!

  • osama! so....we got it!!! :)

  • You make that sound like a bad thing.

  • mike patton is one crazy man! i love mr bungle...

  • 4:45 what the hell is going on with terry's drums? Either I can't hear them or he performed a tremendous fuck up on one of Delirivm Cordia's finest moments.

This video still kicks major ass though!

  • No, I can't really hear the drums. Terry is probably innocent here

  • maybe compression?

  • how can you say mckinnon sucks dude he did great fucking work for mr bungle haaaaaaa

  • lol, no one likes theo. I think its because he sounds like shit live. I bet that was Zorn on the first record playing the sax. I mean he did produce it.

  • I've watched a few of the clips with Bozzio & Fantomas, and I still don't think he fits the bill. This clip is the best of the bunch (imho), but it works only because Patton gave Bozzio a place to fit in (re. solo).

I'd like to see them put out an album together. In Fantomas tho, I really want to hear a thrashy drummer, rather than a complex musical one.

I'd still would have loved to have been there in person

  • O_O

  • I wonder if they liked this in montreux, this is pretty... not jazz ^^

This isn't really anything, but it just KICK ASS

  • I'm sure they do, most jazz fans I know appreciate any kind of music that has a sense of diversity or "creative" thinking process behind it. Plus the muscians involved are crazy talented.

  • Man, this is sick... but quite amusing.

  • Corny and no brain at all...sorry

  • LOL at 4:19

  • it is just Great and Cool Fools. Enjoy the ride!

  • you should check out rannen bozzio's (son)Gas Mask Attire.

  • Chrisuser8:

His many voices/tones, contrasted with the guitars and TERRY fuckin BOZZIO as a fill in guitarist...

    umm, what?

  • You mean drummer?

  • I've had such a high appreciation of his unique style and sound for a good decade now and i can honestly say the man just does not dissapoint.. His art is godsend.. Keep being true Patton..

And look if ya dont like his music thats your choice but you have to have respect for a man whos been in the industry for this long and still hasn't sold out..

  • I'm absolutely stunned Patton hasn't decided to schedule/(at least) release many concert performances of his, let alone THIS one, which appears to be no less than amazing....

His many voices/tones, contrasted with the guitars and TERRY fuckin BOZZIO as a fill in guitarist...

With time, Mike Patton will be the future, no doubt....

  • I struggle to see any sort of majority embracing this sort of music - which is what makes it so powerful, in my opinion. It is fringe art.

  • Hell fuckin yes my friend.... PATTON IS GOD!!!

  • are you serious?

  • COOOOOOL

  • 9:58

  • Dasarets:

I TOTALLY AGREE !! Patton does not just ordinary music. I swear when I listen to Fnatomas, I close my eyes and see abstract art. Out of this world...

  • PEOPLE THERES NO DRUGS IN THIS MUSIC, ITS JUST ANOTHER DIMENSION, EXPERIMENTALS SOUNDS..

If you dont like it dont watchi it, please dont give bullshit comments!

  • @dasarets I totally agree with you. If you don't like something like this, then don't watch it and keep your fucking negative comments to yourself. I hate that. Furthermore, these dudes are awesome and talented. I do feel like I'm in another dimension when I'm listening to them.

  • @dasarets if they needed drugs they wouldnt make it so far

  • @dasarets Thank you! I am so sick of haters...

  • progressive, is just one of the few things, that this is ...

  • best band in the world.

  • Don't do drugs kids.

  • this is musical carnage that makes sense. everything thing these fuckers do is totally brutal and mad effective. its a living art man, a dream almost, totally emersing you with a flush of emotion. the bugle call is the craziest part, big statement and all that good stuff.

    go outside.

  • brilliant!

  • Seen them live some time ago. Pretty amazing.

  • this is crazy amazing. this guy, im new to him, mike patton. i saw tomahawk years back, didnt know it was his gig

  • noooooo i live in montreux but did not know this great band at the time..... regret regret

  • This 10 minutes seems like 3 or 4... absolutely class

  • percussive jam starting at 6:06 is dope

  • what albums this from?

  • suspended animation. get it, it's AWESOME

  • first "suspended animation" and the second part is from "Delirium Cordia"

  • sweet

  • mejor duo de la vida_!

  • oh my! i just learned something awesome, didnt know Bozzio was the drummer in another one of Mr.Patton audible piece of art. GENIUSES I SAY!

  • Bozzio isn't the drummer of fantomas, dave Lombardo is, Bozzi just fit in for a short period!

  • not really they are both part of it bozzio is supposed to play on the next album

  • where are you getting that information

  • I guess I heard that from an interview somewhere I really love what they do so I watched most of the intervies on them on youtube

  • widać że Terry swą grą "nakręca" Pattona, ale ten jednak woli zwierzaka LOMBARDO ( Wild-Dave):D:D Perkusista Slayer ma MOC!!!!!

  • guys, stop complaining about! it's not just music, this is art! this is a performance! some other artists pee on a pink table with marshmallows on it while singing "masters of war" ...

it's just pure art here, a really really great live-performance. don't be so narrowminded!

  • Except people who pee on pink tables with marshmallows on them should be shot. ;)

Any hack can hide behind the word art. Fantomas at least plays something that has some purpose to it.

  • to me this is similar to the residents at times but with more power, more punch

  • yes i agree you

  • i can't find an aesthetic criteria

  • hey it's not for everyone man - it's all good.

Personally i have followed the band since day one and they play this stuff note for note for the most part.

I also teach music for a living - i think this music is great. But opinions are like assholes - everyone has one...

Think of it as musical bravery.

This is the kind of stuff that pushes the boundary's - think of people like me who like this and digest it musically - who knows what's around the corner...

  • Terry Bozzio found the perfect like-minded psycho to jam with after Frank Zappa's death.............

    Amazing music though............

  • yr fking right...

    a perfect pair of psychos...

    and we need more!

  • this is by far the best experimental band I have heard in a long time. These guys are just awesome, but by bloody hell is this music trippy!

  • the riff at 1:26 is so awesome!

  • I got a whole new respect for Lombardo, that was awsome.

  • that's bozzio on drums in this clip.

  • Yeah, and it's nice to see him continue his war against the tyranny of the t-shirt.

  • hahahhahah, is that a tradition?, he used with korn, wow conserving shape at 55-56, thats discipline

  • OMG oO. It's really ... especial. But I like it.

  • I think I want the effect he uses about 4:52 on my voice for the rest of my life.

  • sounds like some spastic ink shit right there.

  • Agreed!!!

  • 4:18 is inane.

  • Hahah I love it.

    The face he does!

  • kochammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i mersi kotku

  • nigdy nie zapomne jakie wrażenie zrobil na mnie ten utwór i tak już po raz milion dwudziesty słucham i nic sie nie zmieniło w tym temacie.Kocham cie kotku.....:))

  • Kckm jak muze fantomasa :))

  • kocham ciebie pamietaj bogusiu, moja ty muzo

  • Mike patton cand do rap, pop, experimental, metal and if he tried opera.

  • I think he actually DID sing some opera or something in Italy.

I don't remember the name but it's on Youtube.

It's really cool to so Mike, of all people, singing in concert without a microphone.

  • He sang with an orchestra and some known opera dude.

    He did well.

  • wow that was freak and original

  • tout simplement SPECTACULAIRE.

  • fucking mercs!!!i love mike patton whitout the actually music could be a shit!!

  • Totally reminds me of John Zorn's "Naked City" - most fucked up jazz recording of all time. Songs are 0:45 - 1:00 long, everything's composed, it's like taking a trip in an elevator, to HELL. Loved this clip - first time seeing Patton w/ Bozzio - was so cool to see two heroes on same stage....

  • word up dude. i love terry bozzio, hes one of my main influences as a drummer. and john zorn.

  • Have you checked out the old "U.K" clips with Bozzio? They're kinda grainy, but it is so cool to see him at that time in his career - full out roto tom set up, weird china hats in the front of his kit, if you haven't seen it already you gotta check it out.

    Keep slammin'...

  • U.K. was SOooooooo ahead of their time, AWESOME prog band! (Allan Holdsworth, Bill Bruford era kicks Ass too)-MAVIII(progulus. c o m)

  • Good call!....I'm not going to even START with King Crimson....lol!

  • это клиника. Выносите

  • pal pico..

  • Hey waht song's this?

    Fantòmas Rule. PERIOD.

  • Wow, after watching 1:42 minutes of it, it sounds like the kind of music, that you listen to when your drugged up :D Very Enjoyable, Very Abstract!

  • To tell you the truth, I don't think I could handle this on drugs haha. Not acid anyways.

  • beer and fantomas go well together:)

  • he is just amaizing! Fantomas is one of my favorite band. Mike Patton is fuckin' genius! Love HIM:D

  • Amazing!!

  • Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mike Patton is the God of Noise/Rock. A very talented musician. And probably won't ever see anyone like him ever. I can listen to Fantômas all day.

  • Nice drum set terry

  • Terry's an awesome drummer but where's Lombardo?

  • on tour with slayer

  • trying to write music this weird is impossible, u have to be gifted or on mushrooms. some of the most exciting and challenging music EVER!

  • i agree.

listen & learn, virtuosos in front of your eyes and ears.

  • If you've never tried to pull music off that is remotely close to this live, and you're dissing these guys, then you have a lot to learn...these guys are proving it right before your eyes. Listen and learn, this is how it's done.

  • just amazing thanks for posting

  • fucking drum !
