  • very cool

  • i cant get it to work over here :/ got a arduinoboy hooked up and all i get is weird noises -_-

  • microkorg?

  • 0:59 ... you had something there, it got lost at 1:11

  • i'm assuming you can connect any midi keyboard up to the mc2 module?

  • I'm guessing all those instruments are pre-made but how are you switching between them there?

  • this is funny. my micro korg sounds exactly the same but I spent a hella lot of time changing the settings.

  • I wish you could give that but my midi adapter dosent work for some reson

  • Man, that's really amazing, I want the same setup!

  • wow this is amazing how did you set this up

could you tell me how to get the equpiment and sort it out since id love to make one of my own

  • @jakayboy check instructables

  • hurr

  • fsking amazing.

you just changed my life a little bit.

  • 8 bit?

  • Yerr :-)

  • @succinctbeats Get it? "Bit"?

  • does it have good response time? or would i be better off modding a computer keyboard instead of making an arduino?

  • God i wanna sit on it hard.

  • man that is coool

  • love that sound

  • ah ha ha good demonstration vid Lol :) but combining major and minor notes is never good ( talking about the part at the beginning) other than that excellent vid! ive been using Lsdj for about 7 months now, and got the hang of things, made a few good melodies, but i also use other programs to create music, using a midi keyboard. if i can find, and use a converter will it work with a keyrig 49? thanks and PLEASE get back to me :)

  • if the keyrig 49 has MIDI out, then is should be fine :)

Thanks for the pro-tip with the notes, but I don't know much about notes!

  • @nikishi42

nothing wrong with accidentals as long as they're effective :)

then again, I really like dissonant music

it's not for everyone I guess.

  • @nikishi42 there's no such thing as a minor note or major note kthxbye

  • thanks for the up, been extremely interested in how this works.

  • i'm crap at making things. can anyone tell me where i can get a midi adaptor for lsdj?

  • Man, I really wish I could do this with one of my keyboards, but I really have no idea where to start, D=. Does anyone think they could point me in the right direction in how to do this set up? Thanks, =D.

And Awesome video dude, I'm jealous, XD.

  • great video!!! i'd like to see more of that shirt next time!!

  • It's my favorite shirt :)

    Thrift stores are great!

  • ah right thanks alot man :) so its basically for live stuff or if u want to get ideas etc?

i should be getting an lsdjmc2 at some point

how much did it cost you to make in parts?

  • not sure on the exact cost for parts, I bought enough parts for 2 and another project, which came to around 35 bucks if I'm remembering right.

The programmer is about 30 dollars to program the PICs.

+ buttons, LEDS, circuit board, power hookups like ~10 dollars

    Its an estimate!

  • if so, can you record notes onto lsdj with the keyboard?

  • LSDJ has a keyboard mode, you can actually splice a ps/2 (typing) keyboard and play notes on LSDJ, but instead of using a keyboard LSDJ-MC2 is just converting midi to ps/2 signals. You can not record a sequence of notes from a keyboard onto LSDJ with the current version of the software.

    Peace

  • hey man so are you basically using the sounds from lsdj through midi to your keyboard?

  • can you post the schematics on this im really new to electronics and im intrested in one of these

  • Link in the description now!
