  • Does anyone know how to say "Cheers" (or whatever the phase is when drinking) in Khmer? Please email me at justinwmorrow on gmail.

  • "Cheers" is translates as "Srek Op Oh" or "Sek Kdey Op Oh" in Khmer language. In Cambodia when people are drinking, they just rais the glass and said "Soum op oh", meaning "cheer for you", or "soum ouy ban joke jeuy" meaning "be successful" base on what the circumstance is. For example, if he or she got a new job or going to new college, you say "soum ouy ban joke jeuy"

  • Khmers usually say "Chul Muy!" to make a toast. It directly translates to "let's collide one"...Chul=collide; Muy=one...
