  • LOL, his strat has his name written on it.

  • I have two. Battery powered, take it anywhere and play! Parties, beach, camping etc. Really fun.

  • @bunchacrapbunchashit How's the low end? Does it thump with palm mutes or does it sound like a dying giraffe? I heard the speaker is like 6 inches, therefore I'm not expecting huge low end.

  • it doesnt really sound like an acoustic does it. great review though thanks.

  • awesome amp. bought it oday. Worth every dolla y0

  • how loud are these?

  • I have one of these and they are really nice! Portable...the batteries last forever!

  • this guy everywhere. like shit in a cowfield.

  • bello fratello

  • strat also has acoustic mode . am i right ?

  • @HafizulNaim yep. aaah the fender strat, nutin can beat it.

  • i have one. probably the best micro amp you get. it even runs on AA batteries ! of courst it also has a cable for electrisity. azm amp really

  • is it a strat w/ floydrose ?

  • @HafizulNaim no

  • GREAT!....this has gotta be one of the best Roland MicroCube presentations EVER!.. he gets to his point and simply does it!..

I just ordered this uke from Amazon.com a few minutes ago, and am looking forward to having some fun with it. And, yes, I'm less than an amateur, but so what!.. the point here is that this Microcube is rather inexpensive, but the unit is RICH!...

  • Jesus

    fucking

    christ

    not this guy.

  • @LemmyK00pa LOL I literally thought the same thing. He's on almost every demo of any pedal, amp, whatever the fuck i wanna see

  • @LemmyK00pa I lol'd. tnx

  • @LemmyK00pa sounds like this guy is on it.

  • not sure if my one is faulty but if you set it to classic stack, put gain at 2 o clock, then it cuts out when you play low notes on the neck pickup at any considerable volume.

  • every video that has this guy has that stupid paper boy 2 crap

  • how the set a voice like 2:13

  • Is there a way to just have the sound clean with no effect? I want an amp to busk with that i can play my me25 pedal into

  • hey if i use a headphone on the amp, will the sound be good or will suck?

  • @mightyburee that would depend on how good your headphones are. if you have dollar store headphones, or apple headphones that came with your iPod, it will majorly suck, however, if you have decent headphones (i have roughly $100 klipsch earbuds) it will sound pretty good.

  • My friend has this amp and i played it alot and loved it.. It sounds really good and is worth getting if you want to be outside playing your guitar.

  • I have a mutli effects pedal that has all the effects from the Micro Cube and the Cube 15XL, so not considering effects what are the differences between the Micro Cube and the Cube 15XL?

  • @LoonyLooners And does the 15XL's 3 band EQ matter that much if I have an EQ in my pedal?

  • @LoonyLooners Does the EQ matter? Yes and no. If you only focus on the EQ in your pedal than you can pretty much leave the EQ on the amp on 5 and forget about them. But if you want to experiment with the tone you can fool around with both EQs and see what you get.

  • @LoonyLooners I use a 65 watt marshall for most things I do but it weighs 45 pounds, so I need a practice amp I can carry anywhere. I've decided on the microcube cuz I really don't need anything bigger. But I admit, if I had no amp and needed to pick one, I'll take the 15XL, It has a bigger sound and you can get a lot more out of it, the microcube is only a 2watt amp with a 5 inch speaker compared to the 15watt 8 inches on the 15XL. On tone they are very similar, the microcube is sweeter though.

  • @deagon85 isn't roland microcube 10 watts??

  • @TheSynyster1996 just checked roland's website. the microcube is a 2watt amp.

  • @deagon85 lol. its good for the environment i guess. XD

  • hate stratocasters

  • @Mrocznakupa agree!

  • @Mrocznakupa Why? I would never buy one, that is not my style, but...why do u hate them? They are good guitars, aren't they?

  • @policleto they look ugly... i'm bc rich style fan :).

  • @Mrocznakupa Ah, ok! I would never buy one because they do not have humbucker pickups. I do not think they're so ugly, but I prefere Bc rich style too.

  • @Mrocznakupa hate you. Strats are so fucking A

  • He has it mic-ed up, if no-one noticed....therefore, the mic goes to another amped source, so not the true sound of this amp and this review should be ignored.

  • @Martaine70

Excuse me - I can see a micro - bit no amp. But anyway: at least every video is recorded with any micro (expect silent movies) an will be played out on any pc-speakers. So you will never hear any "true" sounds in a youtube-video. It's just to have an impressum.

  • @dbddhkp02 yeah that is true now I think about it, just I am suspicious of any mic, as it will likely improve the sound rather than degrade it. What i mean is, that mic could be going to an external source that can be highly tweakable, masking/improving the sound massively...however, I've now heard this amp in reality...and I can't believe how good it sounds for it's size...absolutely great! I am thinking of getting the XL20 model.

  • is that strat. guitar ?

  • is this Amplifier good for acoustic?

  • its not this box playing, I tested it.

  • Sounds better than my micro cube o.0. Could be my guitar or the settings?

  • @Ashitaka255

    Or you :D

  • ok thought ide update.. i bought a used cube in like new condition for 50 bucks. they retail for 125 at guitar center... im taking this thing camping.. I love the effects. what more could someone want in an amp this tiny.. it is loud as hell for its size. ide say it weighs 3 and a half pounds its very light. the metal distortion is really crunchy. i thought i might have to get a pedal but its taken care of..runs on 6 double A's or outlet.. ive read it lasts over 10 hours. on AA's doubt it

  • @partyongarth420 I had a set of AA's in there for a good 12 hours of play. Mind you, I didn't have it cranked, but I was surprised that it powered for so long. Nice little amp.

  • re: microcube-yes-in this price range- you cant really go wrong-it sounds a lot louder than 2 watts the construction of it gives it a lot of push its more effective than the rest of the cube range-re;the looper is a good little device -a very creative tool-i would start out on the MC clean settings to take the measure of the looper, get ya head around the character and tone, however slight, then change your amp settings to accomadate, loads of great sounds, for not to much outlay

  • Do the skills come with the amp?

  • if your on a budget buy one,,,i did for £60 when they first came out,,,,i have amps costing £3000,,,,,i still use this to practice and use on recordings,,,,i make my living out of playing guitar,,,this was the best £60 i ever spent......a cube and an sm57,,and you'll be amazed,,,,,dont let anyone tell ya different,,,your ears are always the best judge......

  • @ikingofmen Hi- is this a good one to buy for when you want to use it with Boss loop pedal, voices overlaying? Is it right its 2 Watt? Any advice welcome, thank you!

  • This Amp Is A Must Have!!! It's Awesome For Practice, Shows And If You Play On The Street, It Runs On Batteries!!! You Can't Go Wrong!!! ;)

  • I usually use the Brit Combo and Classic Stack with either reverb or delay, and chorus. The phaser is really cool too.

    Versatile little amp.

  • i recommend you to buy it..its very awesome...

  • My acoustic sound hisses so that I never use it. Otherwise the amp is a great practice amp. I like the Classic Stack (Marshall) model and JC-clean with chorus. They are the best models.

I would recommend this amp for your first guitar amp.

  • Acoustic sounds rubbish and there's a big volume boost on Black Panel, at least on my cube30.

  • Haha it's this guy again!

  • Watch my video, Ibanez RG350DX Test, I am using that amplifier, if you wanna hear how good it sounds!

  • might wanna get an equalizer pedal with this

  • do this amp good with BOSS pedals? because my BOSS MT-2 sounds horrible with this amp, but I didn't try another one!

  • @IronMetl thats the bad point of this amp sounds crap with all kind of pedals and multieffects due to the absence of a clean channel.

  • @sa86D THANK YOU!!!!!

  • This Amp Sounds Killer When You Plug It Up Directly To The P.A.!!! Try It Out For Yourself If You Think I'm Joking!!!

  • how many watts is it

  • I have this amp and I love it! You can bring it with you anywhere! Perfect for practice and small venues...Highly recommended!

  • retard. its the "Rectfier"

  • @MagrPwnAge lol R-Fier

  • Awesome amp. I highly recommend it.

  • Dude. Can you tab what you played. Wanna play these :D

  • can you use this with bass? cause the bassRX is a bit too expensive and i need a battery operated amplifier for my bass

  • couple of questions: 1) how does it sound with electric keyboard? Is loud in outdoor settings?

  • Classic amps made in Britain ? MILTON KEYNES ENGLAND.

whiskey isnt british is scottish .MARSHALL MADE IN England.

that tho is a well demo'd Roland Cube

  • is that sound comming from the speaker in the combo or from where the mike is plugged int

  • 2:20 show off

  • I WANT IT SO BAD !

  • I have had one of these for some time now ... FANTASTIC little amp.

best part ... 6x 2AA batteries will last you forever .... really ..

  • best amp ever!

  • sounds like the only people that hate this amp are br00tal metal kids who think that this tiny little thing will give them the professional million watt cabinet + pedal board sound of their favorite breakdowncore group. people, this is just a little practice amp and it looks and sounds pretty sweet

  • @populvuh02 Well, the "br00tal" kids aren't metal. They are posers. Metal isn't that bullshit excuse for music. The other thing though, is that this little thing is pretty legit.

  • Great review, quick and informative with ample music examples; looking forward to more!

  • Cool Stuff.

  • hey this is the amp i played kirks Hammett's caution hot esp on at the guitar shop it sounded so good in clean.

  • plz help!!! when i turn knob no sound changes plzzzzzz

  • You can get much better amps with the same price. I've been using Micro Cube for 4 years and it really is horrible.

  • @Porkkana89 Dout it bro lol you probably bought it for a high price XD XD XD hahaha

  • @seclol Maybe, but it's 100 euros on Thomann atm. I bought Vox VT30 with 150 euros.

  • Comment removed

  • @Porkkana89 which one do you recommend? I need combo amp because I want to buy electric and to have amp for acoustic guitar too...something for 150-170 euros...

  • @Porkkana89 Then why have you stuck with it for 4 years?

  • @burntvirtue To be honest, it's not that bad. You can still get much bigger and better combos with slightly higher price. Surprisingly, Micro Cube's clean channels suck but the metal channels are pretty awesome.

  • hey guys i need a new practicing amp in my bedroom and i was thinking about gettting a microcube or a line 6 spider....which do you think i should get

  • Would this be loud enough to jam with a bunch of middle aged gits who use vintage

Twins, Quadraverbs and stuff like that?

  • i use this on a Les Paul Standard. sounds pretty nice to me. =)

  • 4:27 did you just use vibrato while trying to tune?

  • @TheRickybacker lol fail

  • Don't buy this amp! I have it since yesterday. He is good for clean sounds, but for Metal or something else its bullshit, sounds awful! The 2 W aren't enough!!

  • @AILY200807 lol thnks for the warning. I thought that too. but it's good for Alternative Rock and other that uses effects. I'm trying to find a good amp but damn, it's more harder than i thought xD

  • @AILY200807 I have this amp and it's great for metal if u ask me.. Maybe your guitar isn't that good..

  • @AILY200807 You're right. I've been using this amp for 3 years and it sounds horrible when you play metal through it.

  • @J0hannski Then why have you stuck with it for 3 years?

  • @burntvirtue Because I can't afford a new one.

  • I have this amp and I really love it. Does anybody have any idea how to record the sound from the amp to the computer?

  • @Arkanist69 Either record it from the line out to the line in on your soundcard, or record with a microphone into your line in.

  • its a greatest portable amp. just 6xAA batteries and you ready to go

  • i got same amp but my guitar sounds like shit

  • can this be used for synthesizers?

  • Hello, this is in front of 3 o'clocks of midnight.

    Thank you for the answer.

Then, we request, being good because it changed an account into nao5800 from bringagency.

The performance of you is wonderful.

It saw a video and it bought micro cube.

The reply becomes slow and there is not an excuse.

I am nao to live in Japan.

Of doing English triumphant well, it is the よ!nao5800 woman is not but to understand it little.

    Is that USA?

  • the only amp the guy does anything interesting on is the r-fier, prob because he only really knows the metal style of playing.

  • I want this little so bad !

  • What a beast

  • i am so getting this

  • Thank you for showing ALL of the possible sounds you can get out of this amplifier instead of just playing stupid heavy metal patterns at a high speed with a heavily distorted sound. Very interesting.

  • i love this amp, ive had it for about 5 years, and the only bad part is that the handle just snapped on one side...easy fix, but i LOVE Roland products, and this is a great little amp

  • Oddly enough, I've had mine for about 2 years and only replaced the batteries 3 or 4 times. o_O

    Great amp.

  • I actually own one of these, anybody who wants to get one I'm going to tell you now that it's worth every nickle of it. It's gone across the country with me twice and countless times to my local park to play. you can't kill the damned thing either! just keep fresh batteries in it and it you won't be dissapointed.

  • Sounds so good I'm gonna buy this when I also buy my first guitar for christmas! XD

  • @Soturibardi So what guitar is it?

  • @Soturibardi I am late on this comment, I bought a guitar and that amplifier just a few weeks ago, first it was great, now I hate it, as I, a metal fan, I don't have the epic distortion I need.

  • @Soturibardi did u get ur guitar ^^?

  • i'm not sure if effects are useful since you'd use that more for recording and you can put them later by software... still seems to have good sounds.

by now i've used vox ac 10 for a long time, but it's almost good only for distorsion guitars... i must try that mcube

  • now I want one...

  • 0:38 Narodnjak :D

  • the workers at Guitar Center told me that their BOSS pedal section is used by this Roland Micro Cube. I know Roland and BOSS are the same company, but do their BOSS pedals have better tone on Roland Amps than Fender Amps like the Hot Rod Deluxe?

  • "You get a little breakup off of it but not a whole lot of grind" he's trying to sound all badass

  • SEE THIS:

    Turn Radio into Guitar Amp:

    youtube.com/watch?v=YHfoON7ukSc

  • berry good! The you best of the guitar technique being done

MICRO CUBE It got to want to buy.I am Japanese.

Do permission in English to be poor at.

The guitar wants to become good like you.

Many times of working hard many times from Japan

YOU TUBE It observes and it is.

  • @bringagency lol wat

  • @bringagency BERRY good?

  • @bringagency ....ok.... i understand what u are trying to say lol (NOT)

  • @bringagency your translation software isn't that great, just to let you know LOL

  • @guerocomico LMAO, I loled when I read that comment, and yours, good times.

  • @bringagency poetry

  • OMFG this is HILARIOUS.

  • @bringagency oh man your comment made me laugh for like 5 mins straight

  • I'd rather buy the G-dec Jr. by Fender

  • The sound of it it's pretty good, I still use mine for linking to a an active cab, or to the PC with a Cab Simulator!

  • I like it, but it is good for heavy metal with the right settings?

  • @riptide415 I have one but I have to say that even with my Boss ME-50 distortion it sounds a lot fizzy because the speaker it's too small, though if you connect it to the PC with a Cab Simulator you can get a pretty cool sound with the right settings...

  • @zer0c00l2 sweet, thanks

  • that thing sounds awful on every setting.

  • @oxidindigo im sure the guitar he has doesnt help lol

  • @oxidindigo So, obviously your deaf.

  • Comment removed

  • this is a very very very good amp-combo for practicing and training. You can easily play Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix or Metallica styles just by switching buttons.

  • Any one knows for how long this can run if I use high quality batterys and run it at 85 % of valume?

  • how do you connect stomp boxes (pedals) to this amp?

  • @ChristyOB3 Guitar Cabel -> Stomp Box Input -> Stomp Box Output -> Guitar Cable -> Amp Input. It's easy :D

  • @simulator94 sorry to sound stupid, but does the stompbox connect to the input of the amp where you would normally plug in the guitar or is it a different place? thanks:)

  • @ChristyOB3 uhm, yes? :D seems like you've never used a distortion pedal before :D if you want to use one with this amp here, you have a wider choice of models, that you can crank up with a distortion pedal ;)

  • The black panel nob sound`s like a tele?!

  • using high reverb while playing death metal would be awesome lmao

  • can i use a multi effects pedal with this amp? since the amp is always in either one of its COSM amp models, will the pedal effects override the amp effects???

  • THANK YOU JASON Very Well Done - Just the information I needed.

  • how much is it?

  • thinking about buying this

  • I have a way bigger amp.

  • you stupit blaus asshole

  • Oh my god, as I listen to this, I just want to smash and burn my guitar, break my amplifier, rob a house just to get enough money to buy gear like this !

  • Thanks for clear instruction and demo. I bought the MicroCube and would like my Washburn (Gibson copy) guitar to sound cool. This video helped a lot!

  • gettin one within this week cant wait

  • This review helps a lot! It's perfect for me since I am a soon-to-be beginner.

  • Hey guys....

Can this amp be used to play metal stuff?

What about using a distortion pedal?

    ty

  • @MetalNewcomers most small amps wont give u a metal distortion u want and if theyre 2 small a distortion pedal can overload it and makes really bad fuzz

  • Which one is better, the micro cube or the Roland cube 15x?

  • @Asteroid232 I don't know, but this one can be powered by some batteries, it's ultra-transportable, sounds fcnk' good and it has a lot of volume even if it's just 5 W (It's 5 Watt, right? O.o)

  • @UomoNeroMetallaro 2 Watt but it's still quite loud,trust me.

  • thats just it? i was expecting higher expectations from this. perhaps, the G-DEC JR. is still on top of my list...but at this price range, i guess its just like smashing all seven amps together to create this one..

  • i think the fender g-dec junior is better...get twice as much

  • obviously not gonna be amazing, but for the size it can get some big sound.

  • SICK SKILS! LOVE THEM!

  • can i use delay+flanger at the same time?
