@extasy1 you can use any type of brushes on a face chart. theyre are other types of face charts besides MAC, that you can use.

Question: The MAC store near me refused to sell/give me any of their face charts. They said that they were for MAC employees only. So how do I get one? Do you know MAC's policy on selling their face charts? I would appreciate any help or advice you could give me. Thank you!

@cinaevan MAC doesn't sell face charts unfortunately =( I did get some from my friend who works there and just made copies onto a similar textured paper i bought from the art store

@MyMakeupStash1 - Actually, this is how they train professional makeup artists. Working on live models doesn't happen until the fundamentals are mastered. No way is he mocking anybody. As he notes in the video itself, a viewer ASKED him to demonstrate how this is done.

@assley95 Well not all color pencils have the same textures and finishes like eyeshadows such as shimmers/glitters/etc. It is possible for general matte colors but I believe it's just personal preference.

Maybe for drawing out artistic designs you could use a light-lead art pencil and draw flowers and fantasy things, then using color pencils to fill in your design.

@urbnistiq no, look for a matte heavyweight paper. They sell it at Office Max or an office store. It feels like craft paper and is much heavier. It works with any printer but is textured.

the mac face charts do come on paper that is a little bumpy so u can appil the makeup better to the paper but i have done some on just paper and it worked ok not as good but it still worked
