  • It actually is called sierra Tarahumara after Fray Antonio de Tarahumara who leaded all the expeditions sent by Hernan Cortez to do the discovery of this area.  the native tribe is called ''Raramuri'' and it means: ''those with the winged feet''.

  • Nice video but, you are wrong, it is called sierra Tarahumara after Fray Antonio de Tarahumara. whom leaded the spanish expeditions that actually discovered this area and it's inhabitants, who call themselves ''Raramuri.'' that is the actual name of this tribe and it means: those with the winged feet!!

  • I believe it is as safe as travelling all over the world. there is no reason to be afraid. start the journey in Los Mochis. that way round it is much better because of the landscape.
