@cristi90nike There are applications which allow you to do excellent drawing stuff - but the S-Pen which comes with the Note (and only works properly with the Note) is pressure sensitive - so a softer touch is a thinner line et cetera. So yes - there is the same functionality with the S2 but to a lesser extent!
@cristi90nike It really depends on how you intend to use it. Size probably matters the most here... as the Note is considerably larger. I'm currently using the Note as my main device - because I like the larger screen size :)
@cristi90nike Depends on yourself, if you're able to work with a bigger phone + you're fine with spending a little bit more money, go with the Note, it has better hardware but it's size it's something you need to decide for yourself. I myself am going to buy a Note in a day or 3.
I've been using note for the last two weeks. I like everything about note except its battery. I keep the screen brightness to the lowest level, I keep wifi, GPS, bluetooth disabled and don't play video/audio and I don't insert any SIM card. Even doing all these things give me a stand by time of 13/14 hours. I'm really really disappointed at its so short battery life.I don't understand why the battery drains so fast even after I disable most of the power hungry applications.
@tensorbundle Hmm this is very odd for the Note! Mine easily outlasts 24 hours and I normally charge after 2 days. Perhaps you have an App which isn't shutting down properly? Have you tried clearing the RAM regularly (Task Manager > Ram > Clear Ram) or using an application like task killer to make sure they are definitely turned off? Get in touch if I can help with anything!
@samsungmobilerdom No I never cleared up RAM but I always make sure there is no app running in background. So there is no probability that unclosed apps are draining the battery. I got the figure 13/14 hours from settings>about phone>status>up time. Did youmeasure 24 hours by the same way from 'up time' statistics?
@tensorbundle Even if you "end task" the App will often leave bits of itself running in the background. Facebook/G+/Skype for example will keep running. In settings go to "Applications>Running Services" and you will get a good idea what I mean! Clearing the Ram will definitely do a bit to preserving battery life - manually shutting things down in the Running Services will help, too. Otherwise look to an App "Advanced Task Killer" or "Juice Defender" for an automated way of doing this!
I think it's an optical illusion. Take a look at this video again...I don't think it's lag that's the issue. I think the white pen tip touching the screen makes the tip look like it's hovering?
USA people unless you get this thing outside of the US, don't wait to get it from your carriers. It is more than likely that carriers in the US will demand that Samsung take the call feature away or out of the phone and instead sell this as a tablet to make more money of it that way than have it as the tabphone it is as it will be the only selling product on the store which means dead stock for all other phones and tabs in the store. In the US profit making over rules customer satisfaction
I do hope that pen lag can be fixed as well. May i ask if galaxy note have the voice talk/ voice command function like in galaxy s2. And are they going to be smarter than s2 or uses the same one?
@Haunter02 The software version I saw on this one was 3.4.5 and the voice command feature looked very similar to me. Unfortunately I didn't get much of a chance to test it out. But seeing as the one on the S2 is actually rather good I guess it will also be awesome on the Note!
@samsungmobilerdom oh thats sux that its a plastic i thought its made with rubber. coz i hate it when it touches the screen even though its gorilla glass
@audiotrax2000 I'm sure they will :-) We had a meeting with the software developers so *hopefully* it will be even more awesome when it comes out! I hope so anyway :D
Awesome!
