this mustve been a year or two before i watched cbs's saturday lineup for awhile because i dont remember these bumpers but they scare me now and would've traumatized me as a 6 y/o
also construx were awesome i wonder if i still have mine an an attic somewhere
"Bugs Bunny's Thanksgiving Diet" aired on Cartoon Network back in 2009 i wish the WB would release on DVD btw does Cartoon Network even show classics any more? no they should call it Craptoon Network
wow, Contruux. I had so many of those kits, and much like the Lego kits I could never get them to look as good as they did on the box, or on TV. They all ended up looking like a skyscraper under construction. The only thing I'd ever accomplish was making my mom hollar at me for leaving the pieces out, after she stepped on a blue connector piece in bare feet,, or when ever she'd vaccum them up.
Ha ha ha, I know what you mean. But unlike Legos, these were mor elimited, and if you lost two or three of the essential pieces, like the long ones, then your construction options were severely limited.
I miss when CBS always had their Thanksgiving Specials (okay, I miss all their specials period). Makes me happy I taped Charlie Brown, Bugs Bunny, and Garfield in '89 with all the logos intact. I still watch them every fourth Thursday of November.
I remember catching Fluppy Dogs 2-3 times on the Disney Channel. I really wish I had taped it then. I thought they'd always stay good forever and they wouldn't stop playing timeless stuff like it. How naive I was.
Oh wow, thanks for posting this! I had been looking for those bumpers for a while. I refer to this era as the "weird" part of my childhood when things on TV just made no sense and were really crazy. Sometimes nightmare inducing.
Oh, and they should bring back the MASK toys and show!
Nah, it wasn't a knock off at all they were just an extension of the Mattel product line. My cousin had them they were a "family" already unlike Barbie and Ken *shrug*
I think the Heart Family was targeted at children who liked Barbie, but also enjoyed playing "house" with their dolls. Unlike Barbie and Ken, Mr. and Mrs. Heart had kids, so you could make up domestic scenes for them. There weren't any Barbie equivalents at the time. I believe Skipper (a teenager) was the youngest doll you could purchase.
Am I the only one who thinks that Miko is kinda hot?

CBS really dropped the ball on the 86-87 Saturday morning bumpers. Fortunately the next year was less scary.
Those MASK toys looked pretty epic.
KMFDM-TV? If only! HA!

Why did Mattel need the Heart Family when they already had Barbie and Ken in their inventory? Never understood that.
ihatestalkers 1 year ago
@ihatestalkers Maybe it was a knock off of Barbie and it was cheaper, I dunno.
