  • Why does Grist pull his arms up?!

  • @MK2MOREDOOR Why do you think he got rid of nicky grist you fucking knob!? Grist was always taking wrong instructions down on recce and is a shit co driver. Funny how Derek Ringer (Dave Mirra's co driver) is still going but not Grist. You really havent a clue what your talking about have you? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA You tit!

  • Nicky Grists fault that crash, because if you find a clip with the audio he actually tells colin to ''cut'' the corner. Colin was so much better suited with Derek Ringer. R.I.P Colin. 'We're here for a good time, not a long time' What a ledgend!

  • @petelvslaura

your an asshole if you have seen the hole clip youll know that colin admitted he entered the corner 10 mph to fast and he had time to sort it out but didnt dicided to take the line.

niki only reads whats on the notes that colin had asked to be there

    get your facts correct

the only thing that was correct in that statement was he was a legend

  • nice graphics!!! :)

  • man! this car doesn't have an airbag

  • Most Racing Authorities require air bags be disabled or removed due to other safety mechanism already in place before the car can be raced.

  • you didn't just type that..lol..

  • the whole point of rallying is to be the fastest, isnt it?? mcrae one of the greatest drivers ever.. allways missed never forgotten..

  • it seems like if u were a wrc driver thers a good chance of 1 crash a year atleast >.>

  • mr. samsemtex has never been in or near a rally car even did he? whats that all about wreckless driver?! at world level you have to go over the limits to find that extra tenth of second, thats what colin did briliantlly, as did vatanen, its when you find where the limit is that you beat your oponents, nothing like today where all they do is study partial and how to set up the electronics for safe driving... rally its not 100% safe, there will be crashes often by the drivers up front.ignorant

  • i dont agree with you because colin mcrae pushed his hardest in every stage he went into and if your going as fast as you possibly can then your bound to make a mistake at somestage and i know that people think that if he slowed down a bit that he would have been would champion 3 or 4 times but that y he was every ones favorite driver because of his all or nothing aproch

  • i dont agree with you because colin mcrae pushed his hardest in every stage he went into and if you are goin as fast as you can possibly go then your bound to make a mistake at some stage and i know people say that if he slowed down a bit then he would have been world champion 3 or 4 times but he always drove his hardest and i think thats y he was every ones favorite driver because of his all or nothing aproch to every stage

  • colin really was a wreckless driver. He put his own life and that of his co-drivers in danger so often its amazing he wasnt killed in a car accident. As much as i like watching him, he was very lucky he didnt kill either a spectator or Nicky. Some of his accidents were just down to stupid driving. He went over the limit too often.

  • Well...but the diver is here to be driving on the limit and to find out the limit you have to go over it...and of course in rallying you are there to be fastest and that was what Colin was trying to do

  • In the nicest way you clearly know NOTHING about rallying. The whole POINT is to push the cars (and the drivers) to their absolute limit on a variety of surfaces in a variety of conditions.

You could argue that most of the accidents in motor sport are down to "stupid driving", but when you're driving at this level thats what it comes down to. Every corner cut is another fraction of a second saved.

As lfontinha said, Colin pushed the limits; and thats why he's so fondly remembered.

  • "When in doubt, go full out"

    -Colin Mcrae

one of my favorite mcrae quotes.

  • "If in doubt... flat out"

    But you're close enough! :o)

  • hahaha shit! i knew it was something like that. but regarless, he was incredible. its kinda shocking he only has one world championship under his belt!

  • He was SO close to at least two other WRC titles, but either bad luck or, er, "bending" the car prevented him from taking them.

He would have taken the title in 2002 but, in typical McRae fashion, he refused to drive safe and had the crash you see in the video above. Wales was the last round of the season and he was leading on points going into the race, Burns finished the rally and snatched the title from him!

  • Sorry, I'm talking rubbish; the year was 2001, not 2002! The details from the video poster are incorrect!

  • Been a rally driver long have you???

  • No he was on the limit. Thats the point of rallying dumbass and if you think ur hes wreckless u go out and try to beat his fukin driving.COCK

  • thats very true, there going right on the edge of what they can drive. its the WORLD rally championship haha so best rally drivers from around the ENTIRE world are there, if oyu dont go all out, you dont have a very good chance.

  • owned

  • fuk u

  • the camera did not fall out, it was a different angle shot.

  • R.I.P Colin.

  • RIP colin =[

  • dat cost him the championship

  • omg "the camera fell out" YOU MORON its just an amateur cam

  • That crash happened in 2001, not 2002

  • you what....i idiot.
