Oh yeh that's right, he didn't...because he doesn't...and this material is so up his street. I agree nobody is Salander after Rapace, but I reckon the film will be epic, like all of Fincher's dark work

People will compare them of course, but I think he'll be loyal, and I figured if there was no original version, his version would be exactly right; it's only the fact there IS an original that will make his version seem pale by comparison. I think he is not too concerned with "remaking" the film, but more putting his vision on the screen

Funny back in 2008, many people were outraged at the castings of Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvuist... saying that the actors are nothing like the characters and Noomi was too tall for Lisbeth (like the directors are gonna find a talented elf to play) Later, when it was released in 2009, they become beloved internationally (esp. Noomi). And now the people are reacting the same way towards the American version. Just wait until December. We'll see. I pray that Fincher will not disappoint us.

No doubt, Noomi Rapace was well cast for the role however even the character she plays comes only close to Lisbeth Salander. If you want to meet the "real" Lisbeth you have to read the books. Saw the movie for the first time last night and was disapointed the way they cut so much of the book out of the movie. The characters were really never expanded on. I should know that the movie can never be as good no matter who writes the screenplay. they leave so much out and add on things that were never in the book. I hope that american version is better
