  • What have you done!

  • So..we are just a few steps before the Terminator...

  • Make it cut a watermelon!!!!

  • How do you get these?

  • funny:)

  • behold! the rise of the machines!!!

  • you know they have OSHA for a reason

  • destroy!!!!!

  • how much money did you spend buying the robot? That sucker couldn't of been cheap.

  • Cool contraption, broes.

  • i want to see 2 of these things have at it at each other with a sword fight

  • Also for those not used to current robots, there is a lot of safety you can enable through software itself. More than likely there were safety "zones" set up on the floor, behind the robot, etc. that you could stand in so as not to be hit

  • Most industrial robots have ports on the inside controller that you can feed axis information into - google online about this and you can find guides to having wii gyro info output relate to axis info and it's a somewhat "easy" step to this kind of control. Making it totally error free is a more complicated task.

  • oh shit you gave it a sword?? lol

  • somehow a huge robotic arm swinging a sword around doesn't seem exactly safe to me

  • especially if its being controlled by a guy with a wiimote

  • nice work *gives thumbs up* :)

  • it's gonna be the prototype of Matrix's gunner machine!

  • wow

  • its a war machine just get another control and another arm put some guns and attach wheels under it and send it to war

  • lmao what a coincedence

  • The two gentlemen in this video have not only invented one of the greatest software possibilities but have changed the STONE industry forever. They are the genious behind that robot - you people have no clue. Just sit on youtube. This robot is one of the smaller models out there. For all you dumb motherF**** go check out USG Robotics or KUKA robots. Then wake up and smell the coffee. GOOD WORK MECHATRONICS. THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME! YOU GUYS KEEP ON KICKING ASS. I CANT WAIT TO GET MY TWO ROBOTS!

  • thats asome!!!!

  • It's amazing what you can do with Wiimote's and other Controllers!

    wiicontrolit(.)blogspot(.)com

  • POOR boy did you live in cave since your birth my god how a human being could be this dumb

  • Are you stupid?

  • Maybe the lag would be better if they didn't use Windows.

  • they have built far more sophisticated machines that is used for laproscopic surgeries. (basically a doc sits on a machine and manipulates things on screen (3D) and the machine performs the actual surgery). so this wii stuff is far to simple. nice try though.

  • we usually call that lag. just because it doesn't respond immediately doesn't mean that its fake. Granted there's a chance it could be fake but i doubt it.

  • Reminds me of hl2. Where does this delay come from? Why can't you use realtime?

  • blows, Those Types Of Robots only Work Preprogramed Thru Complicated Code and numbers,Ethier the movements is preprogramed or the wi moving starts a command, but it doesnt move like the wii control does.

  • FKIN AWESOME

  • nice dude thats awesome the lag in the pattern is a little weird tho

  • Wii would like to hit your balls XD lol.

  • That is pretty cool. It's like the Wii has one of these inside, except smaller.

  • dude thats pretty awesome 5/5

  • Not very good for tennis due to the delay between the Wiimote signal and the robot moving its arm

  • Problem with the pattern recognition is of course the delay and the limited amount of patterns.

  • i want it to beat up my lil bro it be sooooo funny :-)

  • I like ABB arm, this project is beautiful!!

  • noice!

  • Next we'll be having armies controlled by wii remotes.

  • Awesome!

  • place a chainsaw on it and slay cattle!

  • you, good sir, are a genius. one who needs his morals straightened out, but still a genius.

  • I think it is much nicer if you use the chainsaw to sculture a beautiful work of art out of a block of wood rather than to slay cattle.

  • a pat of the new R.O.B. (do you remember r.o.b.?)

  • same here

  • That stab with the sword is probably the only dangerous thing but still impressive. make it have more aof a wrist then the danger will grow!

  • i have seen you guys in a swedish nintendo newspaper this is cool!!!!!!!!

  • Awsome! I can see some cool robot battles (:

  • SWEET!

  • put a chain saw on it!

  • I wanna do that! I wanna make killer robots that are controlled by Wiimotes...lol.

    I'm such a evil wannabe.

  • what´s the name of the company that makes those robots? Cyberdine uh? .. hum.. i think ive heard that before ^_^

  • Kuka

  • i knew it wasn´t Cyberdine (the company that makes the terminator in the future), i was triyin to be funnie ^^

  • Cool, I would like to punch someone in the stomach with it.

  • Yes we will make giant robots and conrtol them will wii-motes ALL SHALL TREMBLE AT MY FEET!!!

  • WTF???? how'd u guys build that? it's awseome.

    Was it expensive?..o.o||

  • i want a kuka!

  • Lmao this is terminator all over again wen will it stopp

  • sooner later they would have you either in a suite or have pads on your arms, so you can actually feel it when your in the game.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • LOL that was TOTALLY pointless but im sure that was fun!

  • I think this technology is called Waldo.

  • very great work, guys

  • hahaha sweet.

  • i can just see it people hiding in bunkers points wiimotes every were haha

  • slashes with sword are weak

  • fake, i think...

  • dumbass i think

  • children

  • cool! super ninja robots!

  • The army gets some new soldats...

  • Soldiers*

  • No, soldats you fool! Don't you know what a soldat is xP

  • Care. Soldats, soldiers, let's just say the army grows :p

  • with this u can make a walking robot with a sword and sheild.

  • thats pretty cool

  • you can take that to war! make a gundam robot or something

  • Awesome reaction time- NOT!

  • I want one!!!

  • Jesus!!!

  • me next !

  • Hahaha !

Man I have same "arms" in my room.

    ;)

    Very funny guys !

  • kind of fake, you need to make the move before the robot does, but a good idea.

  • Even though it's an industrial, you could use this with other parts for a battle/war/awesomeness mechanism. Now how does the robot respond when you take a pattern recognition and configure it so it would have less of a delay,so it was almost like you and the bot were moving at slightly different speeds in which it looked as if it was acting at the same time you were?Anybody thinking New robot battles?

  • I want one of those to guard my house :P

  • Until one day Jimmy got a little too close and suddenlly......

  • That can do some damage if it somehow brought to life Lol

  • you guyz should make some gundum shit with that...that be hella awesome..

  • let me guess you had to make refferals

  • very nice,... now imagine if that were mobile.. it's like a giant flyswat for humans

  • iROBOT all over agian lmao u guys a genius

  • ...IS THAT A SWORD??? ROFLAMO. i didnt kill him it was the robot ill tell ya! THE ROBOT!!!

  • dude! shit! you are a frikin genious! ahahahahha put one of them on top of a tank! hahahaha

  • lol thats mint!

  • hoaly shnikys thats awsom!! use that to make a mech

    control system!!

  • ICREDIBLE

  • that's incredible.. C++, right?

  • Heh, very well done. From how you guys explain it, it actually doesn't seem like it was too hard for you guys to rig this up.

  • TAKE TWO OF EM AND BATTLE TO THE DEATH

  • TO onixX5 please don't waste your time and energy trying to make a stupid gay boy who doesn't even can think and it is worst and a funking-cook-sucker and masturbate all the day and it is a total miracle that it can write and read even if he's a mothrer-fuking-coock-sucker

  • ---------------_____________----------

  • hey every1 fuckin 1 it is called a joke .... iv gt a wii n i meant 2 put dat the game blazing angels is crap fukin retards... okay onyXx5 i no it has im sorry i mean it

  • errfromathf fuck ur mam

  • use it for something reasonable, for establishment of industry in third world countries.

  • are snap ties holding the sword on??????

  • Hmm, am i the only one thinking Mechas?

  • THOSE GUYz R LOOZRZ BUT THEY HAVE A COOL JOB WORKN WITH ELECTORNX

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!!

  • dis is amazing bt wiis are crap

  • lozybody fuck you

  • you are soooo sad to spend time doing that.

  • could be good for close lines

  • slow reaction =S

  • Woha cool

  • COOL

  • i would kill people with it.... it wasnt me it was the robot!

  • lol

  • kinda slow response but awesome nonetheless

  • D*mn, what cant the wiimote do?

  • id scare people with it

  • that is soo sweet

  • Sweet video! You should visit _mytubex.com_ to generate your own youtube video player

  • kill some watermelons!

  • lol, i'd love to see to of these bots having a sword fight! lmao

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!Serena Williams & Venus Williams use STEROIDS just like Barry Bonds!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that wiibot is scary especialy with a sword

  • who the heck cares if it lags if it didnt lag that would defy the law of processing information from the wii to the sensor to computer again then to the robot..

  • yeah i dont like games that much but i love my wii. its so freakin addicting

  • cool, but to much of a delay

  • the new robot wars! hook them up with sweet weapons and battle other wii robots...lol

  • lol, that's awesome

kinda lags quite a bit though =/

  • Pretty soon they will be using the wiimote for war

  • pretty cool...

  • dude, i could see that in iraq....

  • your gay

  • Now that's an innovative use for the wiimote.

  • strange invention

  • thats so sweet someone should put it to a real sword fight see how it can do

  • It would be awesome if it could mimic your movements rather than preprogrammed moves

  • thats sik

  • haha, now nintendo has something to fight in the console war against the sony QRIOs

  • nince hack!

  • Can I buy one of these with a camara attached?? It would be great in home security.

  • now a sword, soon a uzi

  • can i have that. thats freakin sweet.

  • ahhh it has a sword and you were both pretty close to it. If one of you fell you could of been chopped

  • It's a kuka robot, I worked there.

They've obviously programmed movements into it using the programming remote, taken a program to enterpret the wii-remote and connected the two programs. A software engineer linked his Friction Welding software to two Kuka robotic arms.

They aren't saying that they controlled the arm with the wii remote directly. They still managed to use hand gesture recognition from the wii-remote to trigger scripted gestures in the arm.

  • hahaha, thats pretty cool. I agree, it does need another arm.

  • is that a price tag on the arm?

  • bet you couldn't do better

  • Running an arm with no optical safety fence or any easily accessible emergency stop switches was dangerous enough. Then you had to go and put a freaking sword on it...

Someone at OSHA just had a coronary.

In all seriousness, though, it's neat idea and quite amusing to watch. Now you just need a tennis net and a second arm. ;-)

  • wow u guys are soo stupid

    that machine sucks soo bad

white people can't make anything good

    *sigh*

  • I doubt you're any better.

  • thats strange but cool

  • Umm, you guys are my fucking heroes.

  • um thats not impressive, all they did is write a program for the arm to move when the guy moves it up, down, left, and right. It might not be that good either, for all w know you have to be holding one of the buttons. Im almost positive they didnt make that are the probably bought it.

  • if they had managed to do what you assume that would actually be impressive.. the wiimote is crap at generating spatial information.. because of its lack of gyroscopes it is impossible to seperate the force of gravity acting upon it from the forces applied by the user (ie moving it).. so what you are seeing here is pattern recognition (gestures) which trigger pre scripted sequences for the robot arm to perform.. thats why there is a lag...

  • oh and its still impressive .. good work folks
