I only had one listen to the other 2 songs off Lightning Strike, had another listen to it a few months later and I heard Daybreak- I couldn't believe that I hadn't had another listen to this song!! Gary's voice just sounds wonderful in this song particularly, my favorite off the album.

I like What If This Storm Ends as well, Sunlight Through The Flags- not as much. The whole album gets better the more I listen to it. :D

a huge track indeed!, this one really stands out even amongst an amazing album. I think they start and finish very strongly with this and if there's a rocket tie me to it. but i do really enjot crack the shutters, engines and disaster button.

seems everytime snowpatrol bring out an album that there can be big hits eg chassing cars from eyes open, but there is massive variation in people fav's and collection of fav's off the album, each song has a personal attraction which highlights it to each individual, this is why snow patrol is pure brilliance!

Just to reitterate what's already been said: this is indeed a brilliant track. This would make a great single - uplifting after the more sombre [but still great Crack The Shutters], but I doubt it will be released, based upon the fact of how it's packaged in the album.

Anyone else having the same experience as me? At first when I heard Lightning Strike, I only loved one of the three parts, and didn't think much of the others. After a day of listening, I discovered I loved two of them, but still didn't really go for the third. And now I've found I love them all equally.
